The finale episode of Queen of Tears aired on April 28th and showcased how Baek Hyun Woo and Hong Hae In stayed together despite every obstacle in their lives. The finale episode received an average nationwide rating of 24.850 percent, their highest record throughout the K-drama airing.
The finale episode also made Queen of Tears the highest viewership ratings in tvN K-drama history surpassing the previous record of Crash Landing of You which achieved the highest rating of 21.683 percent back in 2020.
Queen of Tears started with 5.9 percent in ratings in the first episode. With only four episodes released, the K-drama already achieved double-digit viewership ratings. On the 9th episode, Queen of Tears officially ranked first among all K-dramas aired on the weekend. The K-drama held this record until its final episode.
In the 12th episode, Queen of Tears broke another record, surpassed the 2016 hit tvN K-drama Goblin rating, and became the second-highest viewership rating in tvN K-drama history. Aside from that, the K-drama followed the 2023 Taxi Driver Season 2 for exceeding the 20 percent K-drama rating mark after a while.
Finally, in the 16th episode, Queen of Tears recorded 24.850 percent and officially became the most-viewed tvN K-drama of all time.
