The penultimate episode of the historical K-drama "The Forbidden Marriage" achieved its second-highest rating of all time. According to Nielsen Korea, the show garnered an average nationwide viewership of 4.8% for its 11th episode.
"The Forbidden Marriage" commenced with a rating of 4.6% on December 9 and achieved its highest rating of 4.9% on January 6 for its 7th episode. Throughout the series, the K-drama maintained steady viewership. However, the last few episodes show an increase in viewers' interest in the show.
The drama will air its final episode on January 21.

MBC has released a new trailer for the upcoming K-drama "Kokdu: Season of Deity", slated for release on January 27. The cast includes Kim Jung Hyun, Im Soo Hyang, Kim Da Som, and Ahn Woo Yeon, among others.
The historical drama tells the love story of a grim reaper and a doctor. Kim Jung Hyun plays the role of Kkok Du - a cold and cruel grim reaper who comes to Earth once every 99 years to punish humans for their misdeeds. On his current visit, he possesses the body of a young medic named Do Jin Woo.
On his mission, he crosses paths with Han Gye Jeol (Im Soo Hyang), a visiting physician who has a mysterious power to control him. What follows is a bickering romance between the grim reaper and a mortal being.
"Kokdu: Season of Deity" will consist of 16 episodes. The show will take over the time slot of "The Forbidden Marriage" (21:50 KST).
