The upcoming movie "Bogotá" finally resumed filming!
On June 23rd, distributor Megabox Central PlusM announced that the upcoming movie "Bogotá" has started filming once again. They shared that the cast resumed filming in Korea yesterday, June 21st.
Due to the COVID-19 situation, "Bogotá" had to halt filming. They had already started shooting the movie in Colombia in January of last year. The distributor also stated that they will reorganize the production and they will finish filming in Korea within three months.
"Bogotá" is a crime thriller movie set in Colombia. The film will be helmed by award-winning director Kim Sung Je. It will narrate the life of Koreans who emigrated to Colombia in the 1990s. It will showcase their struggle to survive in the capital of Colombia.
The upcoming film will be led by Song Joong Ki, Ryu Seung Beom, Jo Hyun Chul, Lee Hee Joon, and more.
No details have been released regarding when "Bogotá" will be released.
Song Joong Ki was part of the 2021 hit drama "Vincenzo" with Jeon Yeo Bin, 2PM's Ok Taecyeon, Kim Yeo Jin, Jo Han Chul, and Kwak Dong Yeon.
He is also in talks to lead the upcoming revenge drama "The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate" with Shin Hyun Bin, Lee Sung Min, and Kim Nam Hee. The top actor will also return in tvN's "Arthdal Chronicles: Season 2" with Kim Ji Won, Jang Dong Gun, and Kim Ok Bin.
Early this year, Song Joong Ki starred in the movie "Space Sweepers" with Kim Tae Ri, Jin Seon Kyu, Yoo Hae Jin, and Park Ye Rin. He was also part of the movies "The Battleship Island," "A Werewolf Boy," "Penny Pinchers," "Five Senses of Eros," and more.
