Won Ji An will reportedly star in her fourth upcoming K-drama.
On January 3, media outlets reported that Won Ji An will be working with Park Seo Joon in a new JTBC K-drama. According to them, Won Ji An and Park Seo Joon will lead the upcoming romantic comedy K-drama Waiting for Gyeong Do.
Won Ji An's agency Hiin Entertainment responded to the reports and stated, "The actress received the offer and she is reviewing the offer. Nothing has been confirmed yet."
Won Ji An made a strong impression as one of the new characters in the recently released Netflix original K-drama Squid Game Season 2.
The actress is booked and busy with several upcoming K-dramas. She will star in the new K-dramas Tempest, Made in Korea, and Pleasant Outcast.
Won Ji An is known for being part of the works Heartbeat, If You Wish Upon Me, Hope or Dope, D.P., A Year-End Medley, and more. She started her acting career in 2021 and immediately got her first leading role in a film in the same year.
Waiting for Gyeong Do is a romantic comedy K-drama about a man and a woman who met and fell in love when they were in their twenties and got reunited at an unexpected moment in their lives.
The upcoming K-drama will be the collaboration work of director Im Hyun Wook (King the Land and Reflection of You) and writer Yoo Young Ah (Dog Days, Thirty-Nine, Kim Ji Young: Born 1982, and Encounter).
Park Seo Joon will portray the role of Lee Gyeong Do and Won Ji An got the offer to portray the character named Seo Ji Woo.
According to reports, Waiting for Gyeong Do will exclusively air on JTBC. The premiere date is not yet confirmed.
