Fuca Fuheng comes from an illustrious line of Manchu nobles and was the reading partner of Emperor Qianlong. He is also the Emperor's brother-in-law by virtue of his relationship with Empress Fuca Rongyin who is his elder sister. He belongs to the more exclusive and high-ranking section of the Imperial Guards, and enjoys great privileges bestowed by the Emperor. However, despite his privileged upbringing, he does not flout them and is a person who is conscious of the rules, regulations and traditions of the Qing dynasty and of his line. He follows them strictly and tries to live an upright and valorous life to bring honour to his family and to the family name.
