I don't know how to feel about yoon juwon just yet, because it's only been two episodes we can still give her the benefit of doubt .... BUT! why did they change jianjian's hair? That was wholly unnecessary, jianjian having short-hair was a reference to her tomboy-ishness of having grown up in an all-male family, her brazenness and innocence were also attributes of having been raised in a family of four males but I feel just a lil bit that- in the childhood flashbacks her personality is perfect (because of the amazing oh eun so) bratty and loud and wonderful -they made her too, I don't how to put this, soft? If that is the right word, the long hair is irking me. Even when she's trying to be quirky it feels a little awkward

I keep thinking they should have taken inspiration by Hyeri in Reply 1988, if you watch reply 1988 you notice how they resemble each others both as personalities and look.

So yeah, korean can handle that type of characters, so why they make her like this.

I'm fine with changes with the story, but why changing her making her a damsel in disress.

Yeah, og was immature, sometimes irritating, but was the nice part of it. She had to be like that. She was a teen girl that grow up with only males, and it was amazing to see her maturing.

I don't hate Juwon, but for sure, she is the korean stereotype of FL.

Completely agree, the immaturity was a part of her character and i hope that the fl managed to bring that in the later episodes atleast

Also because they expected her to still be the same child of their teen days, but they meet a mature and grown up woman.

She was not a girl anymore, but a woman.
And that made it so realistic and nicely done.

Ju Won's character doesn't feel like she's raised by two fathers and two brothers, she's way too meek

and also teenages Jian Jian treated Xiao and Zi Qiu equally, she called Xiao as "大哥" while Zi Qiu as "小哥", in Korean version Ju Won kinda playing favorite to San Ha, I can't really felt the closeness of Ju Won and Hae Jun just like Zi Qiu and Jian Jian

Super agree, this is why I miss something from this drama.
It's not bad, but not even good.

That's why I said it gives me more romcom vibes than family vibes.

Exactly! Meek! That's the word I was going for ヽ(。◕o◕。)ノ!! Another thing I'm not feeling, is the friendship between juwon and park dal was it?  They cut out the scene where jianjian, ziqiu and xiao defend her from the bullies, thereby not giving us any explanation of their bonding or friendship

I think because they change it to Ju Won instead of Dal, Jian Jian was raised with men she shouldn't be too delicate, at the very least make it believable that she was raised with no mother figure

Yeah, I felt that too. She doesn’t really have that openness you'd expect from growing up in a house full of guys. This version seems like it really wants to make the love story obvious from the start. Plus, with Sanha as the clear lead, there’s more focus on his bromance with Haejun and how he treats Juwon differently. The Chinese version, definitely, did a better job showing the chemistry between all three of them.

in go ahead the Jian Jian Xiao and Zi Qiu were equally leads, well even Hai Chao was practically lead too (can't say the same with He Ping even though he's also integral part of the family)

Go Ahead was centered around Jian Jian, while FBC centered around San Ha, they even make him more pitiful than Hae Jun while in Go Ahead clearly Zi Qiu is more miserable (and well Hwang In Yeop is a good actor and I'm not even his fans)

Chemistry as 3 leads and dads, go ahead was miles better, but San Ha and Hae Jun bromance (in eps 3) was good too. It's just I still not feel the sibling chemistry with Ju Won an Hae Jun

When I compare it to the original, she's such a girly girl which doesn't make sense at all. The whole point of Go Ahead was that this was a girl who was raised by two men along with two boys and she just never had a proper female role model in her life to learn the secrets of being a woman. It's only after the boys leave and she makes friends in high school that she becomes more girly but even then she still has all the qualities she originally had but she's more refined as a young woman.

I imagine part of the loss is because Seven Tan's charm is just on a higher level and she owned that role so well but Korea didn't even try. They made her quirky; not a bad trait but it's not tomboyish and it's such a let down. She's like your average playful, kdrama girly.

I feel like SK is allergic to Tomboys or something. Preserving gender norms seems very important to them.

she's a stupip sissy princess girl, i dislike her a lot. This version destroyed everything from the original, starting from the original.
It makes no sense that a girl without a mother is so princess-like

Something that annoyed me a little, idk if it's good or bad, was the way juwon was acting with sanha's little sister, i kinda missed that pettiness between the two like "he's my brother" " no he's MY brother" I feel like that was a really defining part in the earlier episodes of Go Ahead of the relationship between jianjian and xiao. I feel like Juwon is shown as much softer and understanding and more "mature" in a sense while what they should have actually been showing should have been a teenage girl being possesive over her brother

because they deleted everything from the original making nonsense things. The bond among the 3 is superficial, there is no warmth, so they can adapt well about Sanha's sister.
I really hope at al least as adults they can be better

Really praying for it but like... I don't think they'll even be able to pull the awkwardness that issues after the three come back as adults because there really doesn't seem to be any connection to being with ಠ︵ಠ
