I'm jealous of you who didn't watch the og yet. You can enjoy FbC to the fullest.

I know its an adaptation, i didn't set my expectation it gonna be the same as the og, at some point i have lowered my expectation. But still FbC can't meet my expectation.

Family bonding in Go Ahead was so strong, when they separated it'll hit you deeply. It a wise choice to watch Go Ahead after finishing Family by Choice.

Yeah, I'm actually heaps surprised at how strongly viewers of the original feel. This has to be my favourite k-drama of the year and everyone I know just thinks it's perfect. We're all gushing so I'm actually 1. very excited to watch the original (I'm still on ep 1 atm), but also 2. sad for fans of Go Ahead because you don't get to experience Family By Choice as just a seperate thing. And I've totally been there before with other shows and books. So yeah, feeling lucky right now.

I guess so...lucky for you. I feel as if I'm watching a Disney's live action movie, the story is kinda there, the acting is decent but there's no added value.

Go ahead is loved because of the emotions the drama brought up in it's audience, so far FBC hasn't moved me in the least. And it is because the dialogue and the acting set it apart, something I haven't seen in FBC because so far is just full of cliche lines and K-drama tropes.

It's so interesting reading the reactions here. I'm loving the Korean version so much I had to start watching the Chinese original. I'm thinking this might be the right order to watch in because it feels like ppl who saw the Chinese first cant appreciate the Korean. That's understandable when you form a bond to characters.

It's wild seeing you talk about bad acting though. A few of my friends from twitter made a GC to talk about this drama because we're all so obsessed with it and the two things everyone keeps gushing about are the incredible acting and the deep emotions running through every episode. It was so hard to watch some episodes. I just finished ep 10 and my stomach was in knots.

the right order is watching Go Ahead first like every normal people. And in 2024 it's cringe that people never watched Go Ahead.
Bad acting, yes. And bad script too.

 danny_ang:

Go ahead, please make a good arguments, i welcome it.

But make an argument based on a title is non-sense.

I can make a movie titled "Child's Play" but it horror movie unrelated with Childs or Play.

argument with the title? please, explain this. Go ahead depicts REALITY. So explain to me how a girl growing up without any female figure around can evolve in an almost transgender sissy princess. Same issue about moon lovers FL with magical powers and magical make up. I am waiting for FbC FL to be revealed as a witch.

What a bizarre comment. I'm Australian and it's "cringe" that I havent watched a Chinese-language drama that I've never heard of? I was trying to be polite, but you're just rude and ignorant. What is all this "transgender, sissy princess"? Apart from the wildly offensive language, are you under the impression that women without mothers can't be feminine? How did you even get to that logic?

yes, it's cringe.

Love this series. Just watched the OG and I just can't continue.. I'll try to watch it again after FBC ends.

 Chinese Empress:

where do you explain how a tomboy becomes a transgender sissy princess? tell me.

no i won't tell you

 danny_ang:

no i won't tell you

don't tell me, i know i am right.

inconsistent word of you

(Reading and eating popcorn) lol

But really, just agree to disagree.

Haha yes, its kinda entertaining, more than FbC it self.

But as a closing for today i want to know what is her/his translation about transgender sissy princess.
