Hong Kong Cinema Challenge

Hello everyone and welcome to the Hong Kong Cinema Challenge! I've been meaning create a challenge for Hong Kong dramas to motivate myself to watch more but as I'm a newbie to that world for now I've decided to start with a movie challenge instead.

This is a very simple challenge in which we watch a Hong Kong movie from each year (1970-present but earlier years might be added in the future if anybody is interested). There is not much structure to it as the goal practically is to watch as many movies from a wide-range of years as we can. But, I've split the years into different periods of Hong Kong Cinema using wiki's periodization to make it a little more neat. There is no time limit, let's just have fun with it!

RULES:
  1. You may watch Movies & Short Films only.
  2. Only Hong Kong movies count. (duh)
  3. Only titles completed after starting the challenge count.
  4. You may rewatch stuff to count towards the challenge.
  5. There is no time limit for the challenge but you may give yourself a deadline if you want.
  6. You may choose to only do one (or a few) periods. (different levels of 3 count towards this as well)
  7. You have to watch a movie for each year of the time period to complete it.
  8. If you can't find a movie (or one you're interested in) for a year you may watch 2 movies from the previous or next year.
  9. You may customize your sign-up form in any way you want as long as it has the basic info needed.
  10. You have to be caught-up to the latest year to complete the challenge.

*Please feel free to send me a private message regarding anything i might've missed.


EXTRA Challenge: (to challenge yourself further)
  1. You may choose to watch two (or more) movies watch for each year instead.
  2. You may only watch movies (no short films).


**Some completion badges may or may not be added soon :d (This challenge'll probably take us some time anyway so no worries)
