@Mulberry_owl, this is the best I could find for the instrumental background music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTQsqldA_ts&list=PLxuaaN221HuBHKsZSmfNl4__G4ONv4E4t. Note that you may hear some background noises as the person took the music from the drama and tried to remove the talking/sounds/etc. Not sure if they have released the instrumental OST yet, but I'd like to know as well...

I'm aware of this playlist's existence, but still, thank you for posting it here, making it available for everyone.

To my understanding, the instrumental OST / BGM for "The Double" is the following:

A total of 18 songs with lyrics (the ones @Peachey Blossom very kindly posted, along with their instrumental versions) + 99 background music tracks = 117 unique tracks for the drama.

I loved the background ost and would like to be able to listen to it properly (without dialogue), but unfortunately I don't speak chinese and have no idea how to download these tracks, so I decided to post my question here in case someone who has knowledge and access sees it and has the time to help me.

for the second link, only the first page is translated. To use google translate, copy the website, go to google translate then pick the website translation option from the buttons at the top. Paste the website and tap on the arrow/return key. Depending on how you have google translate set-up, you may have to change the translation at the top to English or language of your choice. Let me know if any issues! Good Luck! On the second link, above, i do see a download button, but am wary in general of downloading things due to viruses, etc.

With regards to the background music . I have finally found this piece of BGM.  https://youtu.be/WadGP1TJ5DQ?si=F2GyrpKAZoq8vSAs I heard it in the first episode and I immediately recognised the sound & am almost 100% sure I have heard this BGM in some other Chinese drama before. I’m constantly thinking of love between fairy and devil or love like the galaxy. Even Back from the brink, but I can’t seem to find it. It’s definitely used in the more emotional scenes. I’m pretty sure that BGM has been used in other dramas before. It was always one of favourites, so it’s hard to forget this one. Does anyone else know by any chance? I did see that one of the producers also worked on back from the brink, so maybe it comes from there? But can’t seem to find the exact scene..
