Keeping with MDL tradition, we present to you the 2025 MDL Watch Challenge! Whether you want to challenge yourself, find new things in the titles you watch, or just join the fun, this challenge is open for all.
To join in the fun, you must READ and FOLLOW these STEPS and instructions. They may sound tricky at first, but we are sure you will get the hang of it, and we are HERE to guide you!

This Challenge starts on January 1, 2025 and ends December 31, 2025*!
You may join the challenge any time during the year 2025—be it January, February, May or December.
The last day for submissions is January 3, 2026, but no matter when you join the challenge, all titles must have been watched between January 1 and December 31, 2025*.

We have divided the rules into basic and detailed steps. The most important rule is that all titles must be watched, from beginning to end, between January 1st and December 31st, 2025, unless specifically stated otherwise. These titles must fit the description of the prompt you are using them for.

Watch Titles (dramas, movies, specials, tv shows) that match the prompt of your choice from any of the blocks within the challenge.
A Title is anything you can watch that is in the MDL database. Each Title must be watched from start to finish between January 1 and December 31, 2025 unless specifically stated otherwise. Each Title can only be used ONCE and only for one prompt in the challenge (tip: use a custom list to keep track). | It is okay to re-watch Titles you saw in previous years as long as you watch the whole Title during 2025. If you started a show in 2024, you can ONLY use that Title if you RE-WATCH those episodes you watched in 2024. Scenario: |
There are 132 prompts in this challenge divided into 26 blocks - each containing 5 prompts/ titles (with the exception of the International Airport block, which contains 7 prompts/titles ) + Districts - OPTIONAL -25 bonus prompts and bonus challenges that can be used as a bonus or in exchange for prompts you wish to avoid. You can either watch something first and then find a prompt, or you can find a prompt and then watch a title that specifically completes it. Just make sure you watch the whole title between January 1st, 2025 and December 31st, 2025*. *Unless stated otherwise | |
Fill in Application/Itinerary: Complete Blocks/Visit stops
Blocks (Stops) are groups of FIVE prompts (directions). There is ONE exception to the groups of FIVE prompts and that is stop #26, International Airport . To complete this stop, you still only need to complete 5 titles (visit 5 addresses) . However, if you complete 7 you get a stamp in your passport.** Watch MDL titles that answer each of the 5 prompts in each block. You may only use 1 MDL title per prompt. Repeat this process for each block. | You may choose to complete any number of blocks (stops). And may finish titles (may visit the addresses) in any order you would like. Once you complete your second block (stop), if you don’t want to add any more titles or reach a higher level/larger destination, you can turn in your challenge form HERE. Congratulations! You can move titles around as much as you want on the worksheet while you are working on it. The names of the blocks are just for fun. |

This year’s challenge has 8 levels, one for each city/country found on MDL + an ancient fantasy one, presented in order of population of their capital cities.

 | Blockbuster - Watch one title that fits all the prompts in the same block, may only be used once in the whole challenge! |
 | Call a Substitute driver - ask a friend to follow directions to an address you wish to avoid. (watch a title instead of you), the substitute driver earns a stamp in their passport. That friend must be actively doing the challenge and may not use the title in their own form. This may be used multiple times with multiple participants. There is no limit. |
