Halu (Kimura Takuya) is the captain and star player of an ice hockey team, who is greatly respected by his teammates. For him, hockey is serious business that fully occupies his mind, while he treats romance as if it were a game. Aki (Takeuchi Yuko) is a typical OL (office lady), and is waiting for her boyfriend to return from studying architecture abroad. At this point in time however, he shows no sign of coming back. One day, Aki's friends who are determined to find her a new boyfriend, invite her to watch an ice hockey game. There she sees Halu for the first time. After the game, Aki and her friends join the players for a party celebrating their victory. Aki, however, is not so excited to be there. When she leaves the party, she bumps into Halu, who was slightly injured from a fight. They exchange e-mail addresses and part. The sparks of mutual attraction are ignited in a second encounter between Aki and Halu, arranged with the help of her friends shortly after a party and sparks fly...

*I downloaded this and have begun to watch it. I like it a lot so far* Has anyone else watched this or are you planning to? It looks really good so far and a lot of people have recommend it here on MDL.

I woke up and can't sleep. lol it is SO GOOD! I say who cares if it's 2004. Anyway, Rita recommended I watch this so I downloaded it. She usually can't steer me wrong and definitely hasn't with this drama. It's real, funny, romantic and a lot of fun. I love that it centers around Hockey and unlike most/all Kdramas that have sports as a theme...There's actually hockey in every episode. (see man of honor..seriously... ugh) I'm on episode 5 of 11. I Love it!

It's such an easy watch Oppa! What's hdd? does that mean you've already got it downloaded? it's an easy download too because it comes hardsubbed on MAC. I think you'd like it. It's not a mushy romance...more realistic.

i really don't like watching old dramas..and it has got nothing to do with the actors or the storyline…however, it has got everything to do with the poor print quality..half the excitement dies just there for me lol...but if it's that good, i might give it a try..let me know what you think after you have completed the drama..i will make a decision then annyeonghaseyo bokami..long time no see ---> 143

I know you have a lot going on Oppa. I'm glad you are still going to school though. As much as you have the earth on your back...you deserve to do something good for yourself. (education) :) You obviously can watch this anytime. ------------>♥

watched it along time ago... and i think here in the drama, was the most handsome time of Kimutaku.. :p i re-watched it like 2 years ago, and still excited to re-watch it again..^^ and i love the soundtrack!! :D

Yes, it was one of my first dramas ever too.. after hana yori dango. I liked Takyua back then quite a lot more but i still find dramas with him very nostalgic. Loved him in Good luck!! too, which is porbably one of my favourites, owing to the subject (also with his teaming up witb Tsutumi Shinichi, who was a faboulous foil, mentor friend kinda person) It's been ages since I watched this drama but the names and play on names was always memorable'; also I liked the hokey surrounding, kinda fit. It's a sweet love story.

I don't really look at the year a drama aired. I am much more interested in the quality of the drama and whether I am interested in the genre. KamZ mentioned that sometimes picture quality of the older dramas are wanting. She makes a valid point. But I have to say, if I didn't know Pride was from 2004 I wouldn't have been able to tell at all.

I'm on ep. 6 now. Over half way through. I really recommend this drama. I am enjoying the dialog, the acting, the story / plot lines of each episode and the romance between the main couple. Which isn't portrayed in a sugary fairy tale way. Definitely keep it on your plan to watch! That's my recommendation.
