From this article it looks like they had a blast filming this. Always a good sign for a comedy!

Real Americans (i.e., those who did not raise gag-manga-loving kids in Japan) may well raise their eyebrows at the joke of a Japanese boy with a huge cloud of 1970s-style Afro hair. But the hair, as the movie explains at the beginning, is natural, which makes the young hero a target of playground bullying.

Growing into a long, lanky teen, Hiroshi Tanaka (Shota Matsuda) wears his rare genetic inheritance as a big, puffy badge of punk defiance, if one that is hopelessly retro..

Yeah, I am a bit ridiculous but oh well! LOL I keep checking for Hard Romanticker and Liar Game Reborn too but still...NO JOY! grrrrr!

Well, if you understand Japanese and can watch this without subs... I am officially jealous of you. ;)

6 months ago my plan was...as soon as this one comes out, I want to watch back to back with Hard Romanticker. Because I love Matsuda Shota's ability to skillfully play both comedy and dark drama. But yeah...flash forward to today and I am STILL WAITING. :(
