Fighting the power/justice drama

There's a common theme in a lot of drama that I just adore, and I'd really like some recommendations if you know of any similar.

I love drama where the MC has a strong sense of justice, and they fight (and succeed) against those holding them back.

I just finished Bayside Shakedown, which had this theme in spades, and was absolutely fantastic. Also noticed it in a lot of KimuTaku's drama, like HERO and Engine, and other shows like Ikebukuro West Gate Park and Legal High. Clearly I also like detective/mystery drama.

Anyone have any suggestions? (personally I prefer the grittier style of the 90s over the candy-coated modern stuff but I'll take anything.

These are some of my favourite jdramas :

• ouroboros ( awsome drama)
• Kaitou Tantei Yamaneko ( there is some comedy in it, but the story is good)
• tokyo dogs 
• kurokouchi ( a little bit weird ... )
• Siren ( good story and good acting some romance too)
• strawberry night  ( both the movie and drama are good )

If you like Kdramas too you should watch  ( are very intense and thrilling )
