Good J Dramas / Movies to Watch ?

Can someone please recommend me good Japanese Dramas and Movies to watch. It doesn't matter which era or time line it comes from. I like all genre's but I'm very picky with comedies.

When talking about medical dramas, then Doctor X and Iryu: Team Medical Dragon are at the top as well, next to Code Blue.

If you're very picky about comedies, then I at least recommend crime/mystery show like Bloody Monday (has no comedy at all).

  • Maou (I haven't seen the original which is a Korean Drama, but the Japanese version is amazing)
  • Ouroboros
  • Kazoku Game (My favourite. A must watch)

Movies

  • Confessions (You will either love it or hate it. It is one of my all time favourite movies)
  • Like father, like son
  • Departures
  • The last recipe (You should definitely watch this!)

little forest - a really relaxing movie with no serious plot, actually more like documentary of food and countryside

yurigokoro - the life of serial killer

let me eat your pancreas - not a zombie movie

ajin - good live action, good CG

my pretend girlfrirend - one sided love-ception story

puzzle (2014) - revenge, thriller, madness
