Just finished it. rated it 10 (quite rare for me)
Mixed feeling : very sad to see it end, I really enjoy every minute of the show, which is generally quite rare, even in my favorites. but in the meantime, i'm really satisfied by the way the story was led from beginning until the end. I didn't have much expectations in the beginning (just wanted to see Sakurai on my screen again, just as many fangrils) and it turned out to be very good. and i'm a little bit angry cause i've seen some very bad comments about it on another website.
Maybe Masterpiece is not the right term, maybe we can discuss Sakurai's acting skills (i'm not confident enough to discuss that cause I don't thnik I've got any qualifications to make such assumptions), maybe the pretty good ending was a little bit predictable, yes. But I enjoyed the numerous twists, the perversity of Yoshimoto sensei, the tension between family members and towards Sakurai's character. The drama is using long period of silence (we don't see that in that way in other dramas), and they offer a good balance with emotionally intense scenes. Sakurai playing Yoshimoto's craziness was astonishing, and I find it too rare in J-dramas to not appreciate it when it occurs.
In a word, I was happy to have been fooled all along the show! A kind of catharsis that only fiction can offer, and a very good way to make us reflect on our modern societies (am i putting to much behind it?).
and, pretty rare too, a good ending for me. i'm not expecting much more (no special, no second season too, though I would certainly watch them if there is more).
"ii neee !!!" is a sentence that will never be the same after this.
