Recommendation for beginners: 1) Hana Yori Dango - I think this is a great drama for anyone actually. Rich guy, poor girl matchup. 2)Nodame Cantabile - another drama that everyone can enjoy. Classical music based but with nice and funny characters. 3)One Litre of Tears - really sad sob story that some people will dig Taiyou no Uta - I would recommend the movie version of this over One Litre of Tears Recommendation for experienced watchers: 1) Orange Days - my all time favourite drama. It is perfect for those in post-secondary who can relate to certain situations. Unlikely romance with amazing acting performances from the main characters, Tsumabuki Satoshi and Shibasaki Kou (who ended up dating after). 2) Kaseifu no Mita - very unique drama with a tremendous lead performance from Matsushima Nanako. It's about a broken family. All characters get some spotlight in a memorable way. 3)Tatta Hitotsu no Koi - another perfect drama for those post-secondary with a sweet romance Bara no nai hanaya - quite possibly the greatest first few episodes in a drama I've ever seen. Can a love blossom from deceit? 4)Taisetsu na Koto wa Subete Kimi ga Oshiete Kureta - I think my scientific background really helped me appreciate this drama. It has a breakout performance from a young actress, Takei Emi. I fell for every little plot hole in this but I know a lot of other people did not. 5)Nagareboshi - another unlikely romance based drama with an excellent performance from Ueto Aya (who seemed destined for odd and mediocre roles) 6)Summer Snow - family based show with romance. It has a great ending which I feel lacks in a bunch of shows these days.

The Queens Classroom I would recommend more but pretty much most of the other ones l like have been listed by other people.

I think each of these dramas is unique in its own way and definitely worth watching. - 1 Litre of Tears (life is worth living) - Pride (sports aren't always boring) - Love Shuffle (defying every rom-com convention) - Byakuyako (sins keep piling up) - Bara no nai Hanaya (second chances / family) - Nodame Cantabile (music and life choices) - Majo no Jouken (taboo romance) - Aishiteru to Itte Kure (disability / deaf main character) - Manhattan Love Story (unique comedy) - Change (politics)

1. Anything For You (true Love prevail) 2. Under One Roof (Family is everything) 3. H2 (The sport team make u want to be with them) 4. Water Boyz (cute boys, swimming pants, boys scynchro, no more to say) 5. 1 litre of tears (will make u appreciate life more) 6. Majo no Jouken (forbidden love with a touching storyline) 7. Team Medical Dragon 1 (great medical drama with a good storyline and it have a good music to be listen to) 8. Shinsengumi (a must watch for the Mibu lovers) 9. Gokusen 1 and 2 (hillarious teachers and her problematic students) 10. Ryusei no Kizuna (a brotherly love, make u want to have a brother in ure life)
