underrated as per bannie
densha otoko 10>7.51 yes. quite an underrated drama. i am suprised it didnt do very well. it was a masterclass. a special drama. just entirely different from the run of the mill plots. with a very good op to boot. and great acting. and great casting. i am surprised indeed.

not underrated as per bannie
shiori haru 8<8.24 just about right, a different drama, great but not anything masterclass
first kiss 8>6.66 perhaps borderlining on being underratd, surprised the score was so poor. it wasnt anything too special either, but the op would always stick in my head, and it was a good solid story

overrated as per bannie
yamato nadeshiko 4<7.74 clearly one of the worse dramas ive watched, was always surprised it wasquite well viewed, until i read mdl and realized that theguys were supposdely pretty goodlooking and popular, which i dont really agree. i dont even think they can act...

I agree so much with Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge. Kame is not a terrible actor but this drama was so bad. I think a lot of people like this only because of the cast and the cheesy romance. I think the kid was so annoying and not necessary. Who the heck leaves their kid with a bunch of young college age guys? And the kid wasn't even cute he is like one of those weird adult in a kid's body types. I thought I was crazy for being the only person who didnt like it.
in no particular order...

I think that lots of pple dont know this one... which is strange, cause there are soe pretty good actors in it (YamaPi, Oguri Shun, Narimiya Hiroki, Ninomiya Kazu and Suzuki Anne)... its from year 2003 (they were sooo cute in that young age ^_^) and the story is amazing. It is optimistic, funny, full of friendship and problems with first sexual experiences ^_^ yet it also resolves some deeper probles (such as hypocracy of grown ups, hardships in life and some bad experiences). But all in all... its my favourite drama and for me it has the same good feeling as Nobuta wo Produce (which meens its also amazing :)

Strawberry Shortcake (its very old for a drama but the cast is spectacular and the story is interesting)

I've seen the first 2 eps and its just a really cute and funny story. It kind of reminds me a bit of Hotaru No Hikari. So if you liked that drama you'd probably like this one=D

there are a ton on my lists of to watch as well and i'm seeing familiar titles here and there...
**better get into the drama mode**
I think Lipstick (classic Jdorama) is really underrated - It has a great plot - realistic acting and those girls getting nice to each other the more the drama goes on , its just amazing , Its at least better than half of recent romance drama.
