I believe the show was made in the early 2000s or at the start of the 2010s.
It‘s about a single Mom & her son. She is very manipulative towards him (like lying about how horrible the labor was when he was born) for the sole purpose that he will feel deeply indebted towards her & will choose to completely take care of her once he graduates from an awesome school & gets a super high paying job. He sorta has a mother complex & feels rather protective of her.
The series starts with Son supposed to be entering a REALLY hot shot high school (It might have been a junior high) but when he finds out his Mom is going to work in the cafeteria of an all boys school with a really bad reputation he secretly jumps ship.
Mom is horrified to find this out because 1. The first kinkin her master plan that she always internally monologues about. 2. She was just bragging to the other cafeteria workers about where her son was going to school.
Nearly every episode (or at least the beginning ones) have Son being forced to fight another student. He usually gets the power to defeat them because he is outraged on his mom’s behalf (like the red gloves (that his Mom lied about knitting) got damaged). His fighting tag lines are usually something like 1. I love my mother (I’m a mommas boy?) 2. Dammit, I really wanted to see the koalas. Needless to say they become his friends/lackeys after the fights.
There‘s this awkward male neighbor that sometimes gets dragged into the Mom’s schemes & a male school art teacher (or was he a nurse?) that might be starting a thing with the Mom so Son REALLY dislikes him.
