hmmm i think it was Nobuta wo produce
My boss my hero was also my first. It was actually the first time I ever watched something with subtitles in my life. I heard a wonder girls song (forgot which one) and liked it even though it was not english so decided to try watching some show with subtitles lol. It was very funny but after watching it watched the kdrama full house which I liked more. So... stuck with kdramas for a long long time.
Gokusen....I think....
It was 1 liter of tears i cried a lot when i watched it
Ummmm i think 1 litre of tears
Gokusen / Nobuta wo Produce. I was hesitant about what to watch first, if Gokusen or Nobuta wo Produce. Ended up watching 10-15 minutes of Nobuta wo Produce and then switched to Gokusen xD So when I think about my first japanese drama I always have to think twice :D
Princess Princess D I think XD
Ouran High School Host Club
The very very very first one, was OSHIN. I watched this together with my mother when I was still a little kid. Although I only remember the gist of the drama and not the complete story (mind you, I watched this more than 20 years ago), but it will always hold a dear place in my heart.

And then around 10 years ago, I watched Friends-2002. But I can't really categorize this fully under Japanese drama, because it's a collaboration project between Japan and Korea. Won Bin and Kyoko Futada were the main leads.

So if I think about it, the very first (fully) Japanese drama that I watched when I was an adult was Boku dake no madonna with Takizawa Hideaki and Hasegawa Kyoko. And the rest is history.
Yukan Club, if i'm not mistaken.

My first was Call Center No Koibito. I remember being intrigued by this whole new world of jdramas after seeing it. I don't know many people who have watched it, i don't remember it being that good, and I don't know how I found it, but obviously it was good enough for me to keep watching dramas :)
