It makes me sad that only 57 MDL users have rated Suika, so I'm recommending it to all of you.  It's one of the best dramas that I've seen.

It's about 4 women who live in the same boarding house.  It's (mostly) episodic, with each episode telling several stories that are somehow connected to each other.  All 4 of them are likable and interesting.  One of them is played by Ichikawa Mikako, who you might recognize because she was also in Unnatural.  The stories are heartwarming and funny (although it's not a comedy).  The house is surrounded by lots of beautiful scenery, so it looks beautiful whenever they have a scene there (screenshot).

But you don't need to take my word for it.  It's actually one of the highest rated J-dramas on Douban (it's rated 9.3 with over 30000 votes).

Have you seen it?  If so, what did you think of it?

I have not seen it, but it looks interesting, so I add it to my ptw list.

There are many interesting jdramas either underrated or with only few watchers. Most people here rather watch korean or chinese dramas :(

Suika is also the travel card we use in Japan :)

Yes, it's unfortunate that J-dramas aren't more popular on MDL.  They make lots of great dramas but they don't try to market them to an international audience.
