These two are like bunnies at this point hah

Yup.  She fell pregnant shortly after she got married.

 mparthur:

Yup.  Watched the interview.  Apparently, both were unused to kissing scenes so they had to do many takes.  They were both very uncomfortable with the kissing scene.

So funny the way Meng described the wife of the director suggesting them to practise the kissing scenes during their free time.

He had a lot of kissing scenes in his previous drama the go back lover

Btw great thread! Thanks for the links and the extra info!

 mparthur:

The Chinese actors are different species.   They are more reserved.  Some have a contract saying no kissing.  I don't think kisses are necessary in this drama.  Both are already drawing audicence with their acting and the storyline has been entertaining so far.

This goes only for tv and web dramas. Chinese movies are almost like western ones. Both hong kong movies and mainland productions too. Tv zones its normal to have more restrictions (happens in every country). The most restrictions and censoring in mainland china has to do with historical events and political views and of course fantasy elements including religious stuff etc. indeed many restrictions are quite vague but i guess it also has to do with the production team (or let me put it straight: the budget and who is behind the project and can skip some rules)

 AtsukoM:

I died at that part, lol.

Also, that part where they did it in the library. The mess they left was so big that the maids who came for clean up didn't even dare to look up properly without blushing... 🤣

Can you please share the link? Thanks

Friends, I did the hard work for you!

I scanned through the novel for all the spicy stuff. You're not obligated to read this. But, if you read it, make sure it's a quiet place heh

I think this is their first time -- https://mydramanovel.com/blossom/chapter-272-marital-harmony/

the second time..  https://mydramanovel.com/blossom/chapter-286-reunion/

The juicy part starts in the middle https://mydramanovel.com/blossom/chapter-292-a-stirring-event/

.. and all this within the first month of marriage!

btw, I'll add more as I scan through bc Song Mo and Dou Zhao are insanely obsess over each other heh

Thanks paxxie. Much appreciated.

Thanks paxxie. Much appreciated.

You welcome! There are a few spicy scene sprinkle throughout too but it's not as detail.

Dou Zhao is Warren Buffet in this drama.

The chemistry between the characters is undoubtedly lovely, but after 21 episodes, I find myself missing a proper steamy kiss or an intimate embrace. While I understand the strict censorship in Chinese dramas, which limits how much they can adapt from the novel, there is still room for creativity. They could have conveyed the passion and intensity of their connection through implied gestures or subtle storytelling, staying within the boundaries while still capturing the essence of the original material.

And what was the point of watching 800 kiss clips if they never intended to incorporate them into the show? It’s like they prepared but decided not to deliver—lol! 😂

Imagine them whilst reading those steamy romance between our main lead

Maybe in the coming episodes? I saw the BTS of the kiss while SM was on horseback. That was very well done. The director is a perfectionist. Li Yun Rui portrayed SM to the T.

That 800 kiss clips were just sugar  fon the fans. The ML had many kiss scenes in previous works and in any case thats not the way actors are prepared for intimate scenes

But lets face reality, with a very few exceptions, xianxia or historical chinese dramas have little to no intimacy (or they have some really bad acted and directed intimate scenes)

Today's kiss is pretty decent.

Honestly, the kissing scenes in C-dramas are crap.  But, I don't mind as they aren't part of the deal.

The drama needs to revert back to the invesgation of the death of Song Mo's mom and who kills Song Mo.

I am getting frustrated by the side stories.
