Can you recommend me dramas with training scenes? For example, sports dramas, performing arts dramas (like dance, figure skating, gymnastics, acrobatics), martial arts, and I would love one that involves a male and female lead partnering up and training to perform together.

Currently Watching: Just Dance - I've seen some scenes with FL and ML practicing together, but I wish there were more. There are other training scenes with the girls that were fun to see as well, but I would love to see a drama that has even more well-done, visually impressive dancing/performing arts scenes, if one exists.

Watched:

Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo - I don't remember if it had a large number of the training scenes I'm currently looking for, but I still love it, and it's one of my favorite comfort dramas. I enjoyed both the sports aspects and the meaningful life themes it addressed. I also liked that all the characters were involved in a sport and were really passioned about it (and the fact that the drama showed the pressure involved and the serious problems they had to deal with).

Alchemy of Souls - I loved the training and duel scenes so much! They were so well-choreographed and epic to watch. Season one had a lot of training, just the way I love it! Seeing the male lead train and improve over time felt like watching the growth of an anime character. It would be amazing to find more dramas like this, where you see a strong focus on the character getting better with their skills and a rewarding payoff with really well-done scenes.

Racket Boys - this is probably the one with the most focus on the sport and training that I’ve seen, and I would love to see more dramas like this. There are scenes with the characters partnering up and competing against each other that I really enjoyed. However, I did wish the matches were a bit longer, but I think I’m asking too much, since this is more common to see in sports anime.

Fight for My Way  - the sport isn't the main focus, but it's still a fun drama to watch and we do see the male lead training sometimes.

Healer - great action sequences, but ML is already skilled and the training is showed shortly in flashbacks, so not exactly what I'm looking for at the moment.

Moving - amazing action sequences with a big number of them, but there isn't any training if I remember correctly. We only see the male lead learning how to fly at some point.

I think that's it (sorry for the long post). Any country is okay, as long as the drama is good and you recommend it, and it has a relevant amount of focus on a sport, performing art, or martial art that requires physical training. Bonus points if it involves team up or a male and female lead partnering up and training to perform together. If there's a drama that doesn’t have a big focus on this but you still enjoyed it and want to recommend, I would also love that (but please let me know if that’s the case).

Very old dramas. Not sure if you can find good quality version of it. Otherwise they are good sport dramas:

Ace wo Nerae - tennis

Attack no. 1 - volleyball

Naguru Onna - boxing

Not that old but it is visually not appealing with cheap special effect. However it has VERY strong training element and skill development: Yowamushi Pedal - road cycling

Newer dramas (that I have watched and can think of right now):

Gekokujo Kyuji - baseball

Sanctuary Seiiki - Sumo

Mirai e no 10 Count - boxing

House of Ninjas - it has a little training element

Thank you so much! I'll look for them.

These 3 are sport dramas that take place in the skating world. The leads here are skaters and help each other get better and fall in love while they're at it... haha. Yes there is a lot of training scenes, there's also scenes in each of these (if I remember correctly) where the leads help each other train and support each other through the hard times of their sport. Definitely recommend.

These ones take place in the martial arts world.

  • Sweet Tai Chi- The ML sees the FLs talent and decides to personally train her and make her better.
  • Moorim School- A lot of training scenes. There's a few scenes where the leads have to partner up to battle another pair. So we get to see them train together.

Bonus:

  • My Lovely Boxer
  • The Prince of Tennis- not a romance, but if you want a sports drama centered around training, this is it for you. Although I'm not a big fan of dramas that aren't romance, I actually enjoyed this one. The lead here is an ace at tennis, and he learns about teamwork, makes friendships, etc.. all while training and beating his opponents.

Twenty-Five Twenty-One (fencing)

Yowakutemo Katemasu (baseball)
