Art, conservation, restoration, and philosophy in Falling before Fireworks

I noticed with interest the gold-dust resin and laquer repair technique of broken ceramics (kintsukuroi (金繕い, "golden repair") ) in episode 1 of this drama and  recalled that this was also an important plot detail in another drama: About Is Love (specially Ep5, where Wei Qing tells Zhou Shi about the Kintsugi  (金継ぎ, "golden joinery") technique, to have Xiao Fei's precious blessing bowl, that XF needs to eat in because of OCD, be repaired after it was broken by FeiFei accidentally).
