  • Shin Ha Kyun

    South Korean

Shin Ha Kyun played Lee Dong Shik in the 2021 drama, Beyond evil.

I recently watched the drama and hands down to Shin Ha Kyun. I was beyond amazed. Every aspect of him brought the character to life. He won best male lead and I think he deserved it.

  • Choi Dae Hoon

    South Korean

Choi Dae Hoon played Park Jung Je in the 2021 drama, Beyond evil.

Park Jung Je was a mysterious character that portrayed mental health, guilt, helplessness and hurt in different ways. His character was one of the quieter character but he stood out.

  • Park Jeong Min

    South Korean

Park Jung Min played Yui in Deliver us from evil.

The most unique character in this list.

  • Hong Kyung

    South Korean

Hong Kyung played Ahn Jung Soo  in the 2020 movie, Innocence.

Portraying mental illnesses is very hard since there is a risk of propagating stereotypes or incorrect characteristics. His performance was superb.

  • Baek Hyun Jin

    South Korean

Baek Hyun Jin played Heo Jung Se [President]  in the 2021 drama, The Devil Judge.

His character was 'not like your average president' president. His over exaggerated facial expressions, loud voice and iconic line "Korea total change" made him stand out. He made me laugh most times.

  • Lee Seung Gi

Lee Seung Gi played Jung Ba Reum in the 2021 drama, Mouse.

The character, Jung Ba Reum was a complex character with many aspects to him.

  • Kim Kang Hoon

A young actor taking on a complex role like that and performing it well was completely mind blowing to me.

  • Choi Woo Shik

    Canadian

Choi Woo Shik played Gui Gong Ja in the 2018 movie, The Witch: Part 1, The Subversion,

I first saw him in Parasite and since then has become one of my favorite actors. I really enjoyed watching him in The witch.

  • Kim So Yeon

    South Korean

Kim So Yeon played Cheon Seo Jin in the 2020 - 2021 drama, The penthouse.

The character, Cheon Seo Jin was played so naturally, all her emotions were portrayed so well and smoothly without it looking forced or that the actress was struggling . I continued watching Penthouse  just because of her.

  • Seo Yea Ji

    South Korean

Seo Yea Ji played Im Sang Mi in the 2017 drama, Save Me.

Im Sang Mi was a victim of a cult. Seo Yea Ji brought out the feeling of seeking help and nobody believing you (to the point of being perceived as crazy), hopelessness, giving up but still fighting , very well. I got to see a glimpse of what Im Sang Mi felt and experienced.

She also played Kim Soo Jin in the 2021 film, Recalled.

  • Kim Mu Yeol

    South Korean

Kim Mu Yeol played Kang Seo Jin in the 2020 film, Intruder.

All I can say is wow!!

  • Jo Jung Suk

    South Korean

Jo Jung Suk played Jung Jae Chul in the 2019  movie, Hit-and -Run Squad.

The best obnoxious, rude and arrogant rich boy character I have seen.

  • Lee Jun Young

    South Korean

Lee Jun Young played Yoo Beom Jin in the 2019 drama, Class of Lies.

Class of lies was my first thriller/mystery drama to watch and I haven't looked back ever since. Lee Jun Young understood his assignment and executed it exceptionally well. Yoo Beo Jin was a charming character and he used that to his advantage. He swayed not only the other characters in the drama but also the viewers.

  • Lee Hye Ri

    South Korean

Lee Hye Ri played Sung Deok Sun in the 2015 drama, Reply 1988.

  • Namkoong Min

    South Korean

Namgoong Min played Han Ji Hyuk in the 2021 drama, The Veil.

Currently watching The Veil, just finished episode 4 and cannot wait for next week {screams}.  Namgoong Min is amazing with his expressionless look and his fighting skills. PERFECT.

  • Kim Jae Wook

    South Korean

Kim Jae Wook played Mo Tae Goo in the 2017 drama, Voice.

I am three years late in watching this drama. I saw a lot of edits of Mo Tae Goo on Instagram and decided to try it, best decision ever. I loves  Mo Tae Goo 's character, the way he laughed, talked and carried himself embodied what I pictured a psycho would act like.

  • Kim Nam Gil

    South Korean

Kim Nam Gil played Kim Hae Il / Michael in the 2019 drama, The Fiery Priest.

The Fiery Priest is my all time favorite crime/action comedy. Kim Nam Gil carried this whole show{i bet his back ached} and I loved it.

  • Park Ha Sun

    South Korean

Park Ha Sun played Seo Soo Yeon in the 2021 drama, The Veil.

Park Ha Sun  plays a badass female who is involved in some shady business. She completely immersed into character. Her voice, posture, mannerisms, everything was perfect for this role. She made me angry and sad at the same time.

  • Kwon Yul

    South Korean

Kwon Yul played Park Tae Jin in the 2024 drama, Connection.

I think his my favourite 2024 villain. He's smart, has a plan and his acting{chef's kiss}. Especially the scene end of episode 13 or beginning of episode 14, gosh, aamaazing. Can't wait to see more of him.
