Shows That Changed My Life
I just want to keep a record of things that I've watched and things that have had an impact on me. It's also now here for anyone who stumbles upon it and wishes to see inside my head.

1. Uncontrollably Fond
Korean Drama - 2016, 20 episodes
Honestly -- this is a show that I shall never forget. I loved it so much I've watched it twice. I'm pretty sure it was the first k-drama that I ever watched and I refused to watch another one for almost a year for fear that 1) it wouldn't top it and 2) that I would bawl my eyes out all over again. It's also the only k-drama I've rewatched.

2. Start-Up
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
Initially, I was excited to be watching something with Nam Joohyuk in it but the more I watched it, the more I was rooting for all of the characters. The story was so well written and the characters were played so well that I wanted all of the characters to get what they wanted in the end. (I've also never suffered from second male lead syndrome which was an awakening for me when I watched this).

3. It's Okay to Not Be Okay
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
This show really made me feel like it's okay to not be okay. It taught me a lot and it made me feel like there's good out in the world. I felt like I connected with each character in some sort of way and that's an amazing thing for me to be able to feel that connected to the show. I also loved the little animation at the beginning of the very first episode and how that wove into the rest of the story.
The only reason it's not rated as high as it could be is because it got the ending I wanted and didn't throw me off, in that sense.

4. The School Nurse Files
Korean Drama - 2020, 6 episodes
I know it's only short but I tend to struggle and sit through more than three episodes at a time at any given point. This is only six episodes long but I watched them all without a long break. The visual effects amazed me and the 'weird' things that made up Ahn Eun-Young made her that much more lovable to me. She was perfectly quirky and made the story interesting, her partnership with Hong In-Pyo was one that I adored.

5. Move to Heaven
Korean Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
What's so special about this show, is the connection between Han Geu-ru and his Uncle. There is something so special about the fact that they both overcome their differences and learn to accept each other the way that they are.
