Favorite Actresses
fave actresses, where if they're starring in a drama I'll come running immediately (+ what roles I liked them in) (optional, if i remember/am not too lazy to put it)
This is in a (mostly) random order I promise. If you want to see what my rankings are just look at the top 3, after that it's all just random.
(SUBJECTIVE. THIS ISN'T BEST ACTRESSES. IT'S MY FAVORITE ACTRESSES! ty).

Jung Ji So
South Korean
Loved her in Imitation, and as the young FL in The Glory! (she killed both roles)
-
Julia Xiang
Chinese
Julia Xiang is one of those rare actresses where (in her role Forever Love), I couldn't see the gears turning in her head as she acted. It all felt so natural! So was her chemistry with Wang An Yu. I also liked her role in Love In Time (2022). Looking forward to her new projects—hopefully she and her agency choose good scripts that can show her talent.

Seo Yea Ji
South Korean
Intro to her was in the (old) drama Moorim School. Loved her in It's Okay to Not Be Okay
-
Esther Yu
Chinese
Romance of the Little Forest rlly impressed me when i learnt that she chose the wardrobe and brought most of the clothes herself! Every outfit she did I absolutely loved; she has great fashion sense!
A lot of people find her voice annoying—I think when she's doing comedy she's hilarious! Her voice annoyed me a little bit at first, but it's grown on me. Look past that and focus on her acting and the roles that she chooses.
I also hear she did a good job in Love Between Fairy and Devil, but I need a special kind of constitution to watch xianxia/fantasy/period dramas.

Zhao Lu Si
Chinese
If ZLS is in a drama, you can guarantee a. it'll be a good one, or b. she'll deliver with the acting! or c, all of the above :)
I don't especially LOVE her, but her dramas do well, and she's a great actress! I liked her in Romance of Tiger & Rose, Love Like the Galaxy (tho i never finished it).
-
Son Ye Jin
South Korean
song hye kyo and son ye jin are very similar in my head for some reason. But I think Son Ye Jin has more of a charm/maybe she's just more expressive/smiles more in her roles. Anyways, I liked her in Crash Landing on You and Something in the Rain (though I didn't finish either, lmao).
-
Xu Ruo Han
Chinese
My intro to her was in Perfect and Casual! Then The Forbidden Flower. Her acting can be a little stiff at times, and she has room to grow. But if she improves I think she'll do well. (Also, her face reminds me of Margot Robbie...(?), esp in The Forbidden Flower)
-
Janice Wu
Chinese
Janice Wu has a charm to her, and she can really do comedy. I think she just needs to consistently pick projects with good scripts and budgets. I can't keep loving the dramas she cameos in over the ones where she is main cast TT. The last drama of hers I loved was Skate Into Love.
-
Dilraba Dilmurat
Chinese
sometimes it's a hit or miss with Dilraba when it comes to the dramas she stars in, but for the most part she is pretty ok at acting! I really liked her in You Are My Glory, it felt like a perfect (type) cast. and she did a good job at the chemistry with Yang2.
