Originally decided to watch because I knew Oh Man-Seok has a main role later  on & in season 2. Such a good drama and it's so great to watch something with no romance

What a fantastic second season! I think I actually preferred this to season 1. I did miss Cha Soo-Ho though, so it was good to see him appear for a bit

Watched for Oh Man-Seok of course. Fantastic romance where the male lead falls first, although nowhere near enough screentime of the main couple once theyre finally together

My first full Thai lakorn! Honestly such a fantastic series. The main pair worked really well together.  The village setting was so nice too. Ahh just so great, with plenty of likeable characters. Such a great show wahhh

  • The Uncanny Counter

    6. The Uncanny Counter

    Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes

    8.5

started on 7/4/2021, finished on 14/4/2021

I really enjoyed this drama. The main group were really great (wahh i just love any main group in a drama lets be real lol).  I loved how So Moon matured over the course of the show. Kinda random but i loved his two friends, especially when they see him walking and they cry ahhhhh. Also i loved how Ha-Na got closer to the group wahhhh

I really loved this and if there actually is a season 2 coming, i'll definitely watch that, even though i can't really see why they'd make another season, i'd still be happy to get more from the characters.

  • Signal

    7. Signal

    Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes

    9.0

started on 15/4/2021, finished on 7/5/2021

Such a brilliant drama, a perfect mix of detectives solving crimes, and time travel-ish mystery stuff.  I really loved both Park Hae-Young and Lee Jae-Han, two wonderful characters.

  • Bad Guys

    8. Bad Guys

    Korean Drama - 2014, 11 episodes

    7.5

started on 7/5/2021, finished on 10/6/2021

fantastic drama, nice and short at 11 episodes. Didn't need to be any longer or shorter. The main trio of criminals were great. I really loved the dynamic with Lee Jung-Moon and Park Ong-Cheol in that episode where they're fighting gangsters and helping eachother lol i cant remember one.  Definitely worth watching to the end.. the last few episodes really wrap everything together anf bring it all together. great show.  originally watched it for the guy from Train to Busan. he was great in this too.

  • Prison Playbook

    9. Prison Playbook

    Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes

    10

started on 11/6/2021, completed on 22/6/2021

10 stars, this is definitely one of my favourite dramas i've ever seen.

So many likeable characters.. so much fun in this show, while still having some great emotional parts. God, all the characters were so interesting and the story was great, that i almost thought "wow i wish I was in prison" while watching. Of course, real prison is much harder, scarier, dangerous and tragic than in this drama, but i think this drama did a great job at showcasing some aspects of prison life (stuff like how the prisoners work around not being allowed to have certain items, how prisoners get sucked into gangs, and how prisoners are often desperately awaiting answers on their parole/retrials)   I really really loved the brilliant group of Je-Hyeok's cellmates. Each one of them had a fascinating story, and i was really rooting for them all.  I hope somehwere, in some prison, some prisoners can have cellmates who are as nice and good as the ones in this drama.

So many likeable characters, so many interesting plotlines, and i loved the baseball stuff so much that i tuned into a live korean baseball match between the Doosan Bears and the Kiwoom Heroes, right after completing this drama.

I LOVED THIS DRAMA SO SO MUCH!!!!!!!! IF YOU ARE READING THIS LIST: PLEASE PLEASE WATCH THIS ONE!!!!

  • Mr. Heart

    10. Mr. Heart

    Korean Drama - 2020, 8 episodes

    7.5

watched the whole series on 24/6/2021

A nice short and sweet BL kdrama that i watched all in one day. Even though i'm trying to steer away from watching too many romance dramas, I've noticed that BL dramas don't seem as bad as most romance ones. (I'm aroace and i guess romances with women in them always make me feel weird and alienated?)

The story was nice, about a marathon runner and a guy working as his pacemaker. Sang-Ha was so cute and happy, and he worked well with the main guy wwho had a more reserved (?) personality at times. A very fun and quick series, with just 8 15-minute episodes. God i wish all romance dramas were that length, because it works so mcu better than 16 1-hour long episodes of back and forth romance.

  • To My Star

    11. To My Star

    Korean Drama - 2021, 9 episodes

    8.0

watched the whole series on 26/6/2021

Another short and sweet BL drama with 9 15-minute episodes, about an actor suffering from controversy and a quiet chef, who are now living together.  Really nice plotline, and both characters were likeable. Oh my god i just loved seeing them together cos they worked so well???

The chef guy's smile was such a nice sight, even though he didnt smile very much. wahhhhh

Even though i just said i like these shorter dramas, i would honestly watch many hours of these two characters together

  • Color Rush

    12. Color Rush

    Korean Drama - 2020, 8 episodes

    9.0

watched the whole series on 26/6/2021 (god, two BL series in one day wowza)

Now, this... THIS was a MASTERPIECE.  I loved it. It's set in a world where some people only see in black and white until they meet someone who is essentially their soulmate, which allows them to see colour.  I absolutely adored this concept.. so cool. There's also a lot of dark themes surrounding this concept throughout the world- such as how those who see in black and white become obsessed with their soulmate, and do bad things to continue seeing colour.

The two main leads were wonderful, and GOD if there's anyone i wish i could look and dress like-  It's Go Yoo-Han, the "soulmate" of the main guy who sees in black and white. He had such a great face and aesthetic fuck i wanna look like him so bad. He was such a cool character, although i admit that some of his lines and dialogue felt a bit flat and devoid of emotions, but it's his actor's first drama so i don't mind. The interesting story made up for that.

Anyway, this is a M A S T E R P I E C E. I got so attached to the story, the characters and the concept of Monos and Probes n stuff. There were a few small plotpoints that were a bit neglected, but i dont mind too much. They hinted at a season 2 at the end of the fim version. God, i'd kill for a season 2.

Honestly the only reasons i didnt give it 10 stars were:  A) it was short so it's not like i had days and days to get attached to the show and the characters n whatnot, which is understandable with these short dramas. while it's great to complete the story in one sitting,  i know i wont stay attached to this for as long as i'd be attached to long dramas.       and B) those few plotpoints that they didnt finish off or explain take away from my rating a bit. Like god i wish we got more of an explanation for the friend with the old man ghost, because it seemed so intriguing lol.

Fantastic series though, holy shit it's so good

Great drama!!! Absolutely love the concept of the psychic dreams n stuff. I think it would've been nice for that to be used a bit more, but i don't mind. Main couple (and Han Woo-Tak) were likeable characters.

Lee Yoo-Beom was always my favourite onscreen. He was such a prick, i just loved to hate him. His actor really played the villain role really well.

  • Fish Upon the Sky

    16. Fish Upon the Sky

    Thai Drama - 2021, 12 episodes

    9.5

Started on 28/10/21, finished on 30/10/21

    I LOVED THIS.

Favourite character was, of course, Duean. Everytime the show cut to Duean's segments, with the black bars on the top and bottom of the screen, i knew damn well it was gonna be good. Duean and his friend group were honestly a huge highlight of this drama. I absolutely love how the show had the two running plotlines of Pi and Mork, but then also Duean and Meen. It was really well done having the stories going on around the same time and overlapping slightly.  Really really good.

An absolutely brilliant lakorn. These Thai lakorns are yet to disappoint!
