1. KinnPorsche
Thai Drama - 2022, 14 episodes
Unlike many, I did not have high expectations for this. I went into Kinnporsche without knowing much about it, other than having seen the trailers, and unexpectedly, I was absolutely blown away. The actors were truly chosen perfectly for their roles, the two main couples had undeniable chemistry, we get a good mix of romance, comedy, drama and thriller and the production value was super high. Most importantly, it is a unique setting and plot for a thai BL.
I can truly not say a single bad thing about this series. However, now that it's over, I'm left with the feeling we might never get another BL this good. I guess this means I will just have to rewatch Kinnporsche over and over again. Already sounds like a dream!
-
2. TharnType
Thai Drama - 2019, 12 episodes
This is not a series for soft people! Seriously messed-up shit happens to and between some of the very flawed but realistic charactes (TW:
homophobia, rape, violence, pedophilia). However, this series isn't only DRAMA, it really is the whole package. We get humour, fluff, smut, enemies to lovers trope, roommates, jealousy, ex lovers being annoying af, gay panic and most importantly incredible chemistry between the main couple! The (many many) skinship scenes of Tharn and Type are some of the best in thai BL! All in all, this show will make you want to throw stuff at the TV but then 10 seconds later you'll thank the lords for its existience. -
3. Blueming
Korean Drama - 2022, 11 episodes
This series utterly surprised me. What sounds like a pretty basic storyline actually depicted very real problems and how they can leave heavy marks on a person. The webcomic this is based on is not half as deep and realistic as this series. The series just took the premise of the comic and actually made something special out of it. Production, acting, cast, chemistry are also on point so what we get is a masterpiece.
-
4. I Told Sunset about You
Thai Drama - 2020, 5 episodes
A masterpiece. This series is very well made unlike most other Thai BL that annoy you with the overuse of stupid sound effects and multiple uninteresting side-couples. Here we have a 100% focus on the main couple and their journey from childhood best friends to rivals back to best friends and then finally to lovers. It's beautiful, it's realistic, the production is high quality and if you like watching bois in love, you will LOVE this show for sure.
-
5. Ossan's Love
Japanese Drama - 2018, 7 episodes
So fucking stupid but in all the right ways. Super fun characters, a romance you'll be invested in and superb acting. Funny, cute, exciting, a bit of drama here and there. All in all a show that will make you feel happy for sure!
-
6. Light on Me
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
We finally got a full-length korean BL! Let's just say I was not surprised that this series turned out to be amazing. Production quality, casting and OST were on point, but what made this series really special was the fact that they made me root for two guys to end up with the main character, which I can't say I've ever done before This just shows how great the actors' chemistry as well as separate romantic storylines were.
I wouldn't say we are dealing with a groundbreaking plot here, but I am a firm believer that with the right characters, talented actors and good chemistry you can make any plot enjoyable - even a standard high-school romance.
-
7. Bad Buddy
Thai Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
Damn. This series really was everything. The plot isn't anything new or exciting but what made this series so damn good, apart from the insane chemistry between the main leads, is that they took all of these typical boring and problematic BL tropes and actually fixed them. This is a series about a couple who are going through a lot of shit but they manage to actually have real conversations and work together to fix their issues instead of creating more issues because of miscommunication or no communication at all. A true phenomenon in this genre.
-
8. Fish Upon the Sky
Thai Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
Instead of giving us yet another thai BL that is just one silly skit after the other, with super shallow main characters, Fish Upon the Sky managed to combine thai BL's typical nonsense comedy with actually well-rounded protagonists. I loved the unlikable and thus refreshing main character of Pi, Mork's pure love for Pi and Pi's slowly developing feelings for Mork. Duan is possibly my favourite side-character ever even if I didn't care about his romance that much. The series is fun, cute, well-made as are most newer GMMTV BLs, and generally it's an easy watch but still dips deep into the main couple's emotions. For me, the whole package.
-
9. Together with Me
Thai Drama - 2017, 13 episodes
This show was just incredible from start to finish. MaxTul have chemistry like few other couples have, both are extraordinary actors and the whole plot and setting of this show felt so real. There were a lot of side characters with their own story lines that could have potentially ruined the show but instead all of them were really interesting and added to the charm of the series. (PS: The skinship scenes will leave you breathless!)
-
10. We Best Love: Fighting Mr. 2nd
Taiwanese Drama - 2021, 6 episodes
I don't ever say this but: The second season was better than the first! To me a work setting is just generally much more exciting than a hs/uni setting but I also love myself a good conflict with real upset/hurt emotions (over a plot that isn't cheating!!!). The chemistry this time was absolutely over the top for me and I cannot tell you how many times I rewatched the getting-back-together scene. Unfortunately, we were also forced to watch 2 side-couples, which almost never works for me because they either don't get enough scenes to make them interesting and rounded characters or their story is just weird. In this case we got one couple for each of these 2 categories.
-
11. Theory of Love
Thai Drama - 2019, 12 episodes
While the plot sounds rather uneventful, the concept of this show was brilliant! In the first half, each episode pays tribute to an old classic romcom and helps the main leads navigate their romantic story. It's sweet, funny, very frustrating because Khai is a stupid fuckboy, but as soon as he comes around, he finally makes up for the all the pain he's caused. The side couples weren't interesting to me but thankfully the show mostly focused on the main couple.
-
12. The Eighth Sense
Korean Drama - 2023, 10 episodes
-
13. HIStory3: Trapped
Taiwanese Special - 2019, 20 episodes
Take out the BL romance and you still got yourself a really good suspense series. Although it seems like this show might be dark, based on the plot and heavy backround story of the main characters, the unique and charming character of Shao Fei lightens up the whole series. The romance is really beautiful and not problematic and toxic as one might expect.
-
14. Addicted
Chinese Drama - 2016, 15 episodes
(Note: This series was cancelled because of Chinese Government restrictions before it was completed. Only 15 out of 18 episodes were aired, which means you won't get a satisfying ending.)
I did not expect to love this story as much as I ended up loving it (to a point where I decided to read the super long novel it's based on). There is step-sibling love, unhealthy obsession, enemies to best friends to lovers and a REALLY good soundtrack. Apart from the great acting and beautiful chemistry of the main leads there is just something about this show that makes it so special and unforgetable. Wish there was more.
-
15. HIStory4: Close to You
Taiwanese Drama - 2021, 20 episodes
This series got about every BL stereotype in the book covered; the good ones and the bad ones which means that this show is definitely not something everybody will enjoy
(TW: step-sibling incest, attempted rape, dub-con drunken sex). But as this is a new part of the HIStory franchise, obviously the production and acting were excellent. As for the 2 main couples; one has a romcom plot and the other one focuses on forbidden love. I personally enjoyed both couples but could have done without the fujoshi side-plot. Thank god it wasn't a huge part of the story. -
16. We Best Love: No. 1 For You
Taiwanese Drama - 2021, 6 episodes
This series is proof that even typical BL plots can still be exciting to watch if done right. And boy, they did so many things right. Both lead actors are amazing and have wonderful chemistry, the production seems expensive and high quality and though we only have 6 episodes, with the right pacing, they managed to make it feel like a full-length series.
-
17. Unknown
Taiwanese Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
-
18. Until We Meet Again
Thai Drama - 2019, 17 episodes
Reincarnations and healthy relationships; what a combination! This show will make you sad and you will most likely cry but it will all be worth it. The two main leads really adore each other and though you think that there aren't any secrets left uncovered pretty early in the show, you will be proven otherwise. Thrilling until the last second!
-
19. Kieta Hatsukoi
Japanese Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
We really aren't dealing with a groundbreaking plot or setting here, but the absolutey loveable and hilarious protagonist of Aoki was probably what made this series so great. It helped that the production was also really well-made and that the second ML is probably my ideal man lol. No but seriously, this show was just so fun and cute. A truly unproblematic feel-good show. It also has just the right amount of that typical dorama quirkiness that I love.
-
20. Utsukushii Kare
Japanese Drama - 2021, 6 episodes
Though we're dealing with two very odd main characters and an even weirder dynamic here, this series was rather entertaining. It kept me interested because I just wanted to understand what was going on in Kiyoi's head and when I finally did, I really liked the result.
There isn't great chemistry here and their relationship seems really unhealthy at many points during the show, but in the end, this series was really unique and the ending unexpectadly satisfying. -
21. Old Fashion Cupcake
Japanese Drama - 2022, 5 episodes
Short, sweet and surprisingly deep. Unlike most japanese BL, this one did not feel as over-the-top ridiculous. It was more serious and depicted realistic characters. I would have loved for it to be longer, but not because there was anything missing or left to be said/showed, just because this was such a sweet and easy watch. A definite recommendation to any BL fan.
-
22. HIStory2: Right or Wrong
Taiwanese Special - 2018, 8 episodes
This series, despite the big age difference and student/professor relationship of the main couple, is unexpectedly soft and unproblematic. The development of their romance is pure and beautiful and we get really deep characters and a very satisfying course of events until the very end.
-
23. Why R U?
Thai Drama - 2020, 13 episodes
After the first few horribly confusing episodes, this show gets VERY good! Both main couples have unique storylines and while Fighter/Tutor's chemistry and sexual tension will wow you, Saifah/Zon's adorable friendship (turned romance) is super fun to watch. Sadly, covid didn't allow them to film and end the show as was scripted and thus kinda messed up the whole concept of the show, but we still got a solid ending out of it. A tip: skip all scenes that don't have anything to do with the two main couples because they are boring and do not matter at all!
-
24. Like in the Movies
Filipino Drama - 2020, 8 episodes
This is a wholesome series for sure. It covers identity and family issues and has very real conversations about important lgbtq+ themes like coming-out. What I loved most about this series was that both main characters are very unique and don't fit into any stereotypes. They has super funny conversations as well. A cute romance series that is 100% unproblematic. Unfortunately, I found the ending unsatisfying.
-
25. To My Star Season 2: Our Untold Stories
Korean Drama - 2022, 10 episodes
Puh. This second season to a very mediacore first season was so unexpected. Unexpectedly good! Everything that I was missing in s1, we got here: round main characters with a past and depth. It was quite angsty and gave us lots of pining. Definitly just a very differet series than s1. I liked it much more and dare say that you don't even need to see or like s1 to enjoy this.
-
26. Last Twilight
Thai Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
-
27. My Stand-In
Thai Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
-
28. A Tale of Thousand Stars
Thai Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
This series gave me major Nicholas Sparks feels but in a very good way lol. Stories with such tragic plotlines often run the risk of being overly dramatic and tacky but for me they found the perfect balance in this series so that I could take it seriously from start to finish. We have a very slow and real development of feelings between the main couple and a small surprising reveal in the last episode that ties the whole thing together beautifully. All in all a super sweet romance!
-
29. Gen Y
Thai Drama - 2020, 12 episodes
I expected to be bored out of my mind by this series but it turned out to be a mind-blowingly captivating story! It started as an annoying unofficial 2Moons reboot/continuation, however, about half-way in, the focus of the story shifted onto a supernatural phenomenon and suddenly it was SO GOOD. As this is a spoiler-free zone, I cannot go into it anymore detail, but let me just say that this story is not as bland as it appears to be! I absolutely cannot wait for the next season!
-
30. Gameboys
Filipino Drama - 2020, 13 episodes
I expected nothing and got everything. This is the best one out of the many covid-themed BL series the Phillipines spat out in 2020. The story and characters are much deeper than you will think in the beginning. It's cute, funny and isn't one of those typical BL stories full of clichés that make you feel like you're watching a yaoi manga being played out (not that that is generally a bad thing but it can get old after a while). Watching Gameboys feels like you're witnessing a real online relationship develope.
-
31. Triage
Thai Drama - 2022, 13 episodes
-
32. Love by Chance
Thai Drama - 2018, 14 episodes
This is a story about two boys who just really like each other, which sounds weird because usually these kinda stories start off with a conflict between the main couple. Not this time, though. The series keeps you interested from start to finish. There are a bunch of side couples that might or might not interest you, but this show is definitely worth it just for the main couple. However, I found the ending weak (especially when it comes to the side couple Tin/Can).
-
33. Paint with Love
Thai Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
Give me a thai BL that has adult main characters and I am intrigued. Make it a good mix of romance, drama and comedy and I'm even more pleased. The acting, production and chemistry between the main leads were also quite good. Very solid if slightly basic storyline that unfortunately suffers from a lot of issues based on no communication. That got old towards the end as well as the comic relief side-characters, but it was still a fun watch.
-
34. 30-sai made Dotei Da to Mahotsukai ni Nareru rashii
Japanese Drama - 2020, 12 episodes
The concept of becoming a magican (=being able to read minds) after turning into a 30yo virgin is a premise with a lot of potential for an extraordinary series. However, I was underwhelmed by the end-product. My inital exitement fizzled out after a few episodes when the comedy aspect of the series was quickly overshadowed by the earnest romance (nothing that is fundamentally a bad thing but I guess I would have liked it to focus more on the supernatural aspect.) I still think this is an entertaining show with great acting, interesting couples (plural!) and true love. (Small spoiler ahead!) But one thing cannot be left unsaid: A BL show without a single kiss between the main couple is a crime!
-
35. Lovely Writer
Thai Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
For me personally this show had many ups and downs. It started kinda average with too many sound effects and very questionable acting on Kao's part, but as the story progressed the plot and characters got deeper, the acting got better and for some reason the production value also imporved. Towards the end, I was looking forward to every new episode and I really felt the couple's chemistry. I personally found the setting of the series, which is a BL-series set, especially captivating. The ending had a strange surprise that I didn't appreciate but even that didn't take away from the fun experience that watching this BL was.
-
36. Zettai BL ni Naru Sekai VS Zettai BL ni Naritakunai Otoko
Japanese Special - 2021, 1 episode
As someone who read and LOVED the manga, this was a big disappointment. The original is ridiculously funny and the tv series doesn't even come close. Also, this tv adaption is way too short so that you don't really get an opportunity to fall in love with the story or characters. And then it ends on a cliffhanger so there really isnt anything great about this series other than maybe the fun opening.
-
37. Utsukushii Kare Season 2
Japanese Drama - 2023, 4 episodes
-
38. HIStory3: Make Our Days Count
Taiwanese Special - 2019, 20 episodes
If you ignore the very last episode, you got yourself a fun teeny romance story. The main couple consists of a nerdy boy who only studies and has no friends and a popular jock kid which is very basic but can be cute if done right. And I think they did do it right! I enjoyed the development of their feelings for each other, even though, truth be told, it felt a bit out-of-nowhere from one part. The side-couple was also refreshing and their smut scenes nearly blew me away (WOW!). Like most newer HIStorys, the production is good quality and they chose great actors. Kudos for that. All in all, this is definitely a cute watch, BUT !!! don't watch that last episode! It will ruin the whole story and doesn't fit with the rest of the series at all. Believe me.
-
39. Kiseki: Dear to Me
Taiwanese Drama - 2023, 13 episodes
-
40. Dark Blue Kiss
Thai Drama - 2019, 12 episodes
(Note: Definitely watch the Pete/Kao cuts from Kiss Me (Again) before watching this show. You can find them on the official GMMTV YouTube channel. They actually put all the Pete/Kao scenes together into 3 episodes.)
A great continuation of Pete/Kao from Kiss Me (Again). The plot was interesting and exciting and the acting was great. I wish there had been more skinship, though. Brownie points for the amazing opening and Pete's father for being the coolest dad ever!
-
41. TharnType Season 2: 7 Years of Love
Thai Drama - 2020, 12 episodes
If you take out all the unimportant side-plots and focus only on the main couple, you got yourself a solid second season of Tharntype with even better acting. To me the main storyline was very interesting and what I still love about Tharntype, other than their crazy chemistry, is that they are unapologetically real and flawed. As this 2nd season plays 7 years later, however, we get to see them from a different side with new issues to overcome together. All in all, they're still their overdramatic selves and I just love watching them together. Unfortunately, all of the other side-plots and side-couples were boring and not very well-rounded and the series as a whole suffered greately from that. It's still a good watch if you love Tharntype as a couple and want to see more of them. Just don't expect it to be as good as season 1.
-
42. Pit Babe
Thai Drama - 2023, 13 episodes
-
43. The Sign
Thai Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
-
44. HIStory2: Crossing the Line
Taiwanese Special - 2018, 8 episodes
This felt like watching sports anime just that finally the main characters are really gay. It's a very typical plot with clichéd characters but a lot of fun anyway. The uninteresting side couple however didn't make sense for the story at all.
-
45. Semantic Error
Korean Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
My very very high expectations for this, based on the amazing webcomic and promising trailer, were only somewhat met. I actually think they did everything right when it comes to casting, prodution and adapting the story into a tv series. However, what was missing for me, which is basically *the* most important aspect of their romance, is the sexual tension between the main characters that you should have been able to cut with a knife. I knew that they would have to tone it down for the series, but I still expected more.
-
46. 2 Moons 2
Thai Drama - 2019, 12 episodes
(Note: The first 3-4 episodes of 2 Moons 2 reboot the plot of 2 Moons while the rest of the show continues the story. If you are interested in watching both 2 Moons and 2 Moons 2, I suggest you watch 2 Moons first, otherwise you might get bored with it as it could feel dragged out.)
In this second version of the story of 2 Moons, we get to see more character and relationship development, especially when it comes to the side couples. I really enjoyed the romance between Forth & Beam that we don't get to see in 2 Moons at all. Sadly this show ends with a major cliffhanger for the main couple. Overall, 2 Moons and 2 Moons 2 were pretty similar in quality imo but 2 Moons 2 definitely has more to offer in regards to plot diversity.
-
47. 2 Moons
Thai Drama - 2017, 12 episodes
One of the most basic BL shows out there. But if you aren't looking to be wowed and just want to watch pretty boys being cute then this rather unspectacular romance and plot is for you! It's fluffy and innocent and you won't have to worry about being triggered by anything.
-
48. Sotus
Thai Drama - 2016, 15 episodes
A beautiful story with a lot of uninteresting side plots and side characters that shift focus from why everyone loves this show: Kongpop and Arithrit's enemies to lovers storyline! Their acting is great, their chemistry undeniable and the development of their relationship is slow and steady with enough drama to keep it interesting but no unnecessary jealousy/homophobic parents/misunderstandings/etc. A solid romance that leaves you wanting more.
-
49. The Novelist
Japanese Drama - 2018, 6 episodes
You definitely got yourself a unique plot and unique characters in this one. I enjoyed it from beginning to end and was very surprised by the good acting and overall quality of the show. The ending however left me disappointed.
-
50. Where Your Eyes Linger
Korean Drama - 2020, 8 episodes
This would have made for a 10/10 series if it hadn't been quite as short. The story is intense, the characters are well-rounded, we just didn't have enough time to really fall in love with them. Their love for each other though is undeniably beautiful.
-
51. Wish You: Your Melody From My Heart
Korean Drama - 2020, 8 episodes
This series did a lot of things right like the soundtrack, the cast of the actors, the slow journey of the main characters turning from strangers to friends... sadly, everything that came after that wasn't very exciting. The conclusion was very rushed imo and I wish they had focused more on the issue with the father but I guess there just wasn't enough time in a movie-length series. Another korean series with great potential that fell short because it's length didn't allow them to explore the plot and characters further.
-
52. Zettai BL ni Naru Sekai VS Zettai BL ni Naritakunai Otoko 2
Japanese Special - 2022, 1 episode
-
53. Kiss Me Again: Pete-Kao
Thai Special - 2018, 3 episodes
(Note: Pete/Kao were a sidecouple in a het show called Kiss Me (Again). You can watch the Pete/Kao cuts only on the official GMMTV YouTube channel. They put all the Pete/Kao scenes together into 3 episodes so you don't have to watch the het storyline if you don't care for it.)
I really enjoyed Pete & Kao's "origin story". Enemies to Lovers never gets boring to me. As they were only a sidecouple in a het show, we don't get much of them, but what we get is great. Definitely watch Dark Blue Kiss after watching this.
-
54. Tonhon Chonlatee
Thai Drama - 2020, 10 episodes
Messy, hilarious and ridiculous are the three words that describe this series the best. The first few episodes were amazing imo but then it just kept getting more and more silly until the humour wasn't really funny anymore and we were left with a very low-quality plotline. The ending was RIDONCULOUS and made all the good feelings I still had for this show almost disappear. I would still say it's a fun watch but go into this expecting nothing because otherwise you will be disappointed af.
-
55. Love Tractor
Korean Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
-
56. My Engineer
Thai Drama - 2020, 14 episodes
I watched this show a few weeks ago and somehow I've forgotten almost everything about it, which means that it didn't leave much of an impression on me. I destinctly remember growing bored by the main couple BohnDeun fast as their story kept repeating itself every few episodes without any progress being made. The side-couple of RamKing, however, I really enjoyed (but sadly they had very few scenes together) . I sincerely hope the second seaon will focus on anyone but the main couple.
-
57. HIStory: Obsessed
Taiwanese Special - 2017, 4 episodes
I enjoyed this story most out of the first three HIStory installments. The plot was very interesting and unique, the acting and general production was a bit lacking however. One of the characters definitely shows some very problematic behaviour, but the title 'Obsessed' should serve as a warning.
-
58. Color Rush
Korean Drama - 2020, 8 episodes
Great concept with a lacking execution because of its short length. This kind of story just needs more time to develope so this definitely felt unfinished. A second season is needed to tie this up. Let's see if we will get one.
-
59. Long Time No See
Korean Drama - 2017, 5 episodes
What I really liked about this were the two very unique and interesting main characters. Everything else was rather underwhelming. Maybe my expectations were too high because to me the plot sounds amazing and I just expected something more...
-
60. Cherry Blossoms after Winter
Korean Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
This one started off on a low note imo. However, I enjoyed the second half of this series much more than the first. The acting good better, the chemistry between the main characters felt more natural and the plot after they were out of High School just seemed more intriguing. It's a sweet series about childhood friends who fall in love and deals with some pretty stereotypical problems and plot devices. It's not badly done, but nothing really special either - just like the webcomic this is based on.
-
61. Make It Right
Thai Drama - 2016, 12 episodes
This series is an event! The acting in general is terrible, the kiss scenes are the worst I've ever seen and there are so many stupid and childish things that happen - most of these things I can forgive, however, because this series is set in a High School and features very young and inexperianced actors. But somehow, despite all these flaws, this series managed to depict real and deep characters and multiple cute love stories. How? idk... MAGIC!
-
62. Hello Stranger
Filipino Drama - 2020, 8 episodes
We got ourselves another covid/quaratine-themed BL from the Phillipines. Altogether, this was a sweet youtube series with good actors. Was it something special, though? No, not really.
-
63. Y-Destiny
Thai Drama - 2021, 15 episodes
As this is basically a collection of 7 different 2-episode-long love stories, it is kind of hard to rate it as a whole. Especially seeing that the multiple stories vary in quality greatly. But if you go in this with low expectations, I can promise you that some of the stories will definitely amuse you if not even really surprise you! For me episode 3-4 and 9-10 were absolute hits!
-
64. Nitiman
Thai Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
I had a good time watching this as I liked both main characters and thought they were cute together BUT, all in all, this series was just too bland for my taste. Every week I had the hopes that "THIS week the story will finally pick up" but sadly it never did. And you know why? Because this series is "wholesome" and I need more than that to be entertained. We had SO many characters but so little worthwile actually happened. There was just no "oomph" but if a light unproblematic story is what you are looking for, I think you will enjoy this quite a bit.
-
65. Rak Diao
Thai Drama - 2022, 15 episodes
Despite the laugh-tracks, I enjoyed this sitcom. However, I was also bored at many points during the series because every episode was kind of the same. The relationship of the main couple does go through some changes during the series, as they learn to understand, respect and then ultimately like each other, but each episode still dealt with the same kind of issue and was structured almost the same. There were no highs or ups in this series, instead it was quite one-note. This is definitely not a series to binge but if you watch an episode or two every once in a while, it will stay interesting.
-
66. Mr. Heart
Korean Drama - 2020, 8 episodes
This was ok. You get soft characters and a soft and almost non-existent plotline. Definitely a cute show for someone who just wants to see something short and sweet. For anyone who's looking for more, this just isn't enough.
-
67. Secret Crush on You
Thai Drama - 2022, 14 episodes
Secret Crush on You gave me major Make It Right feels. Completely over-the-top riduculous plot, characters and acting, but with better production. What I loved about this was that the main character was a pretty fem gay, which we don't get a lot. I liked the chemistry of the main couple and their skinship scenes were unexpectedly hot. It was still hard to take this series serious because it was just soooo stupid. Somtimes you need a little stupid though ;)
-
68. Plus & Minus
Taiwanese Drama - 2022, 12 episodes
-
69. Close Friend
Thai Drama - 2021, 6 episodes
As this is a collection of 6 short stories about 6 different couples, you can't expect deep characters and well thought out plots. Some stories are entertaining and work as a whole while others fall short in some aspect or just lack enough substance to keep an audience interested. All in all, however, this was a short and sweet series.
-
70. Our Skyy
Thai Drama - 2018, 5 episodes
-
71. Second Chance
Thai Drama - 2021, 6 episodes
I can't say this was a great show but I can say one thing: the chemistry of the main couple was amazing and had this series been longer and explored their relationship more, I believe this could have been great. Sadly, we just didn't get enough of them and the production quality was a bit low budget.

72. Manner of Death
Thai Drama - 2020, 14 episodes
As much as I love MaxTul and as much as I looked forward to this series, sadly, this didn't work for me. As a whole, the series was rather boring. I felt like they tried really hard to give us a new "genre" for BL but then sadly they forgot to include the BL part. Don't get me wrong, MaxTul do have some scenes together, but it just didn't seem to be an important part of the story. If the crime plot had at least been really good, I could have enjoyed this show for that but sadly the whole case was really predictable. Not a bad series in general but it also wasn't a great watch for me as I went into this expecting a romance.

73. SOTUS S
Thai Drama - 2017, 13 episodes
Saldy this second season disappointed me. I wanted to see more of Kongpop and Arthit's developed romance but instead 80% of this series focuses on their individual worklife, which I guess could be interesting to some but it really wasn't to me. However, the romance scenes we did get and the whole plot of them struggling to be open about their relationship was interesting and handled well.

74. Ossan's Love: In the Sky
Japanese Drama - 2019, 8 episodes
Well, this was garbage. Garbage I enjoyed. This second season started very strong with a new and unique setting, but quickly lost its charm because there were too many storylines and it turned out that we wouldn't get the main couple we all expected and wanted. All in all, this show was rather funny but still a huge let down. Especially if compared to its brilliant first season.

77. En of Love: TOSSARA
Thai Drama - 2020, 4 episodes
Pretty low production quality, not great acting, but I was intriqued by the character constellation. I enjoyed this quite a bit but know I will forget about it fast. A standard university romance plot that was missing that special something to make it unique.

78. To My Star
Korean Drama - 2021, 9 episodes
I did not love this as much as most BL fans did. I was entertained but also think that the character of Kang Seo Joon was very one-note. It's hard for me to really enjoy a romance when I don't find both main characters intriguing, but as this was a very short series - again! - I might just need to see more to fall in love with them. Season 2 might help with that!

79. Siew Sum Noi
Thai Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
The first thing that comes to mind when I think about this series is: terrible music. Truly terrible. But take away the poorly executed musical aspect of the show and pretend that the production wasn't so low-budget and you got yourself a solid way to pass some time. The best part about this show was the ML. His looks and mature personality were refreshing for a BL ML. The main romance also had some parts I enjoyed, though all in all, it was lacking.

80. You Make Me Dance
Korean Drama - 2021, 8 episodes
I am writing this review a few months after I watched it and I have to be honest... I just don't remember it that well, which is already not a good sign. I remember enjoying the premise of their first meeting and finding the character constellation interesting, but they didn't manage to make me feel for them which means either lacking chemistry, shallow characters or just not enough substance to fall in love with. Or a combination of those things.

82. Because of You
Taiwanese Drama - 2020, 10 episodes
While watching this show I remember thinking "Ew, I hope they aren't brothers" but also "I hope they are, otherwise this is really boring." In the end, something was just missing, though I did really like the premise of the main couple as well as the whole setting of the series.

83. 2gether
Thai Drama - 2020, 13 episodes
One word to describe this show: Meh. Despite the horrible editing, the first half was fun to watch and kinda cute if you're into that dynamic where one is a tsundere who's always annoyed and the other one has to chase them for some stupid reason. The second half was boring af. And apart from the fact that there was barely any skinship, something just didn't work for me. The main couple just felt like friends to me. 0 romantic chemistry (which was proven by their famous high-five in the end).

84. Enchanté
Thai Drama - 2022, 10 episodes
Would you guys read a murder mystery novel if it started with revealing who the killer is? No? Me neither. This is basically the romance version of that. The whole point of the plot was supposed to be to figure out who Enchanté was, but why care when the viewer knows who the ML is going to end up with? It just didn't make sense. It also didn't help that the two main leads never really had any interesting scenes together. The plot was based around investigating a bunch of other guys and thus all we saw the main couple do was have meaningless flirty moments. It also didn't help that the production for this one was less than what GMMTV usually does for their BLs nowadays. A huge letdown.

85. My Gear and Your Gown
Thai Drama - 2020, 12 episodes
This show is as stupid as its name. In the beginning, I was really interested in the main romance, but then the execution just sucked ass, the acting was shit and the inconsistant characters were confusing af. Nothing that happened really made sense. The side couple gets a lot of praise but even they were inconsistant at many points during the show. But somehow I guess I was still entertained? I don't get it. Watch it and see for yourself, I guess.

86. Water Boyy
Thai Drama - 2017, 14 episodes
Is this really a BL? I gotta be honest here, at some point I started skipping all the het storylines because I couldn't have cared less (AND THERE WERE TOO MANY OF THEM!). All female characters in this show are horrible, the kiss scenes are super weird and though I was very entertained by the BL couples, the hurried ending and time skip left me completely unsatisfied. I recommend watching this ONLY for Earth's perky nipples.

88. Not Me
Thai Drama - 2021, 14 episodes
This series does not focus on the romance which in itself isn't a problem, however the whole pacing was off. The first half of the series shows us nothing but politics and long conversations about law and then suddenly, out of nowhere, the main romance starts and takes up most of the second half of the series. The last few episodes were actually pretty good but as I wasn't invested in any of the characters, it didn't manage to make up for the poor first half of the show. A big disappointment with amazing acting.

91. En of Love: Love Mechanics
Thai Drama - 2020, 4 episodes
I can't write a fair review about this series because my one and only no-go/trigger plot-device happened which competely ruined this series for me. Everything was great until then which is why I get why a lot of people find this part of En of Love the best and why it was supposed to get its own full-lentgh show. It's just not for me.

92. The Tasty Florida
Korean Drama - 2021, 8 episodes
We had pretty guys cooking tasty food and a super boring romance. Nothing special. But as I already didn't expect anything from the plot, I wasn't disappointed and enjoyed watching these few short-ass clips.

93. First Love Again
Korean Drama - 2022, 6 episodes
I liked that the episodes were long for a korean BL and I also liked the concept of reincarnations finding each other in different lifes. The end. Everything else was unfortunately just ok if not worse. The acting of one of the MLs was pretty bad, they had no chemistry whatsoever and I also don't feel like the "twist" of the story was explained well enough.

94. Oxygen
Thai Drama - 2020, 13 episodes
I can't believe I managed to finish this snooze fest of a series. Though I liked the dynamic of the main couple (a slowly establishing sincere romance), and I enjoyed all scenes with Kao in it, sadly this show was boring from start to finish. Nothing exciting or interesting happened to any of the characters. Every episode felt like a boring filler episodes.

95. Make It Right 2
Thai Drama - 2017, 14 episodes
Sadly, non of the issues I had with the first season got better in this second season. But do I regret watching this second season? No. Would I have needed it, though? Nah. The main couple's issues just get dragged on and the beautiful romance of Frame/Book goes through a lot of drama that I wish they'd have been spared. However, I did learn something from this season: true love finds you while you're shitting your guts out in a public restroom, and sometimes you just have to flirt with your own mother. Want to know more? Then I guess you have to watch this...

97. HIStory: Stay Away from Me
Taiwanese Special - 2017, 4 episodes
Ok plot, no chemsitry, bad quality production and annoying female side-character who ships the main couple. Enough said.

98. Behind Cut
Korean Drama - 2021, 8 episodes
At first I really liked the idea and plot behind the series, though the length and budget were lacking, but then the quality drastically declined with the last few episodes. There were confusing time skips, scene jumps and unanswered questions. This just did not work.
-
99. My Sweet Dear
Korean Drama - 2021, 8 episodes
It's rare that a couple in a romance series has this little chemistry. I felt nothing throughout the whole series and the ending was stupid as hell.
-
100. Golden Blood
Thai Drama - 2021, 8 episodes
A basic but potentially fun plot that was ruined by terrible TERRIBLE acting of the main character. Nothing can save a show when the protagonists you see 90% of the time acts like it's his first time ever expressing any kind of emotions. Everyone else however did pretty well. The side couple was very cute but sadly didn't get enough scenes to save this series. I also feel terrible for the other male lead who did a decent job but was completely overshadowed by his untalented counterpart.
