the qls i have watched with my friends and their opinions
-
1. The Loyal Pin: Uncut
Thai Drama - 2024, 16 episodes
On Deck
-
2. Love Sea
Thai Drama - 2024, 10 episodes
The 2024 BL Landscape is so bad re: endings, I didn't even realize how disappointing this one was lol. But it truly didn't affect the enjoyment That Much bc we all love Fort Thitipong so goddamn much. Watching it a second time was... a little rough.

3. Century of Love
Thai Drama - 2024, 10 episodes
I am an unstoppable force of pure evil with this one. Everyone is having the best possible time in the world. We all love Sanvee. Possibly the most successful thing I've ever recommended. I would be full of fear if I didn't know we were watching Love Sea next, bc what can compare aside from Fort's ass?
-
4. Pit Babe: Uncut
Thai Drama - 2023, 13 episodes
"The Best Show In The World" I don't think I've ever so thoroughly won picking a LGBTV night show. We are all huge fans. This is my third time watch, Alyssa's second, and Danae's first. And we are still all having an absolute blast.
-
5. Playboyy
Thai Drama - 2023, 14 episodes
It's probably unethical to conduct psychological experiments on your friends, but this really was throwing the pasta at the wall and seeing if it sticks. Luckily, everyone loved it! Playboyy is a really, really solid show with some absolutely stunning production quality. Everything else is secondary, but the secondary is pretty goddamn good too.
-
6. GAP
Thai Drama - 2022, 12 episodes
Dickens wasn't fucking around about that "Best of times, worst of times" shit. Is GAP "good" in the traditional sense? Absolutely not. Is it even mostly tolerable? Not at all. Did we love GAP and plan on watching all of FreenBeck's new shows? ABSOLUTELY. The power of women is unmatched.
-
7. Cutie Pie
Thai Drama - 2022, 12 episodes
Everyone in this gang is a Zee Pruk kissing enthusiast with highest level of bias. Despite that, we would, in fact, like to see Zee Pruk kissing in a show with like 8000% less stupid miscommunication plot. We all had fun, but holy shit. Holy shit. Everyone's seated for The Next Prince, though.
-
8. The Sign
Thai Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
Perhaps... perhaps we learned a lesson about recommending a show before it is finished/when I am insane about it. But I had SUCH bad blinders on this one. I think everyone still had fun, but... I definitely caused some damage by setting expectations too high. Live, Laugh, Love, Learn.
-
9. Kiseki: Dear to Me
Taiwanese Drama - 2023, 13 episodes
We learned a lesson this day about trying to force a show when the gang isn't feeling great. But, after a rocky start from external factors, we all really loved Kiseki: Dear to Me. This one super cemented how regularly Danae and I care about the opposite pairings, and how much Alyssa loves everyone in the club.

10. Roommates of Poongduck 304
Korean Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
This selection was an absolute no-brainer for our group. Jiwoongisms are so powerfully effective against these power-dynamics babes. It helps that it is cute and light-hearted and short. This was a good and necessary break from the longer shows and a nice reprieve from traumas.
-
11. Bump Up Business
Korean Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
[Entire review left blank for blatant OnlyOneOf favoritism. We had to watch. Quality does not matter.]
-
12. Wedding Plan: Uncut
Thai Drama - 2023, 7 episodes
We, LITA enthusiasts, watched this primarily for the LITA men. And while we enjoyed it and it has birthed an interested in Prapai's English Boarding School Friends, I don't know that this is a lastingly memorable show. It almost singlehandedly killed the concept of a full MAME-verse watch.
-
13. Semantic Error
Korean Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
Everyone loves Semantic Error. There are no Semantic Error haters. It's impossible to hate Semantic Error. Short, sweet, really well made. Everyone had a good time. Everyone continues to have a good time. One of the very few KBLs that matches enough of our interests.
-
14. Bed Friend: Uncut
Thai Drama - 2023, 10 episodes
This one was really fun, but I don't think it's a lasting impression in our minds. NetJames have undeniably incredible energy, but the script and production were sooo shaky it's hard to come back time and time again. Enjoyable, but maybe not one that would have made the list today.
-
15. The Untamed
Chinese Drama - 2019, 50 episodes
Owwaa... We love MDZS. Everyone in this TV crew is perfectly unstable about MDZS. That said, this show watching experience was a little rough. Differing opinions, too many episodes, confusing screenwriting/plotting... The Donghua was a better time. Possible the best time was the Nies Movie?
-
16. KinnPorsche
Thai Drama - 2022, 14 episodes
Kinnporsche is so funny bc while Alyssa and I loved it, Danae loved to complain about it. But guess which fool most regularly asks for a Kinnporsche rewatch? That's right. Danae. All my homies love Kinnporsche!! I'm so excited for My Stand In to finish airing. I'm going to be bringing Ming to their doorsteps like a cat with a dead mouse.

17. Love in the Air
Thai Drama - 2022, 13 episodes
We are all Love in the Air enthusiasts here... our favorite LITA boy is the boy on screen. We regularly watch the special episode when we are feeling down. We recognize the shortcomings of this production (sound quality among its worst qualities) and don't care.
