Rewatchable Chinese Drama

One of my best favourites. Actually, the best story written drama I have ever watched till today. It's clever, full of layers, and thoughtful. Best if you got some understanding of the Chinese language and culture. As for the music, cinematography, and other productions matter may depend on individual taste and I got no problem with that.

Well written and maturely executed body swapped classic. It's the classic story of a body-swapping trope with excellent acts, especially by Zhang Xincheng/ Steven Zhang. The amount of details rarely talked about in body swap was done pretty well here and it is just hilarious, makes sense, light, and enjoyable.

I didn't watch the anime, but as a standout drama, it's thrilling and enjoyable. Following the story of Shi Guang (Hikaru) from having zero interest in the Go game to mastering it. Of course, with the epic relationship between him and Chu Ying. The story was well written and thoughtful, though I have little understanding of the Go game it's still enjoyable. The philosophy behind it was well transferred and not sounds cringe.

I was in love with the idea of zero to hero and still love it. The story might have a few flaws but the acting of Ethan Juan and Yang Mi successfully hooked me up. There's a certain part in the middle of the drama that I skipped every time I rewatch it. Yet, there is still many unknown factor that drew me back here from time to time.

I am definitely a huge fan of Joy of Life. And while waiting for the second season that comes from eternity, this drama is the best alternative. Many casts from JoL played here, both also written by the same screenwriter. Though, if you are a fan of Wuxia drama, the action scenes here might disappoint you. Still, it's an epic political drama.
