7. Pipeline
Korean Movie - 2021
I started this movie mostly because I missed Lee Soo Hyuk and haven't seen him in anything in a while. Now that that's out of the way... the movie left a lot to be desired.
For a heist movie stealing oil is new, however that was about it. I felt the pacing was off, especially towards the end of the movie. And honestly I felt that the whole plot of the movie was quite boring. The Villains became more one dimensional the further the movie progressed. Also the shotgun. No further elaboration should be needed. The comedy fell a little flat for me too.
I was happy with the overall casting choices. The Actors carried the movie. In particular Lee Soo Hyuk and Seo In Guk. Though I felt like the chemistry in particular, between the crew was lacking.

18. Busted Season 2
Korean TV Show - 2019, 10 episodes
Favourite season so far. I missed Lee Kwang Soo not being in this season, but I really liked Lee Seung Gi. I thought the mysteries and puzzles were more engaging this season, even though they seemed harder for the cast to solve.

For a fencing drama, it didn't have nearly enough fencing. The stars of this drama are definitely Kim Tae Ri and Nam Joo Hyuk which is what initially sold me on this.

Not as chaotic and lively as season 1. Season 2 had a more melancholy feel to it. Still a very enjoyable watch. As someone who has read the manga, they have definitely veered off from the original source material. I hope they introduce Hatano next season.

24. The King’s Avatar
Chinese Drama - 2019, 40 episodes
First completed drama with Yang Yang. I honestly can't see why he gets so much flak. I thought he did an amazing job as Ye Xiu, the role perfectly suited him.
I liked how there wasn't any romance in this. I also enjoyed the e-sports aspect of this. It did take me a few episodes to figure out who everyone was from all the teams. Loved almost all the characters, with Qiao Yifan being my favorite. I hope season 2 keeps all of the original cast.

26. The Romance of Tiger and Rose
Chinese Drama - 2020, 24 episodes
"The Romance of Tiger and Rose" is a drama that doesn't take itself seriously (for the most part) - It's lighthearted and fun, with a dash of social commentary throw in for good measure.
The leads chemistry was off the charts and the right-hand men of Chen Qian Qian and Han Shuo were a joy to watch. I especially love how both leads slowly fall in love with one another throughout the drama and slowly change and make choices that they would have never made before knowing one another.
The production quality may not be the best and the storyline may be lacking sometimes, but I still thoroughly enjoyed my time spent watching this drama.

29. Inhuman Kiss
Thai Movie - 2019
What I liked: The acting was fantastic, and the music was poignant. The pacing was also surprisingly steady (some people may think it's a bit slow for a horror movie), and the plot was interesting (I personally really enjoy folklore). I also really liked the trio of Sai, Noi, and Jerd (I wish they had more time with one another on screen). And for a horror movie, it was surprisingly heartfelt. The loyalty and love that both family and friends held for each other was plain to see.
What I didn't like: I have mixed feeling about the visual effects. They did a great job with wounds and for the most part the CGI, however, some of the transformations were... not good to put it bluntly. I also felt that in some scenes, the characters didn't really get the urgency of the situation and dillydallied for too long.
I did not have very high expectations going in and didn't really know what to expect from this movie at all. I'm very glad this was my first exposure to Thai media, and I'm definitely going to watch the second movie that will be coming out sometime in September.Completed: August 16th

31. Secrets in the Hot Spring
Taiwanese Movie - 2018
This is my second re-watch of the movie. I enjoyed it a bit more on a second watch. It's definitely WAY more of a comedy than a horror movie. Lin He Xua's character Lu Qun, was by far my favorite character. I found him ridiculously funny. This is an overall entertaining watch.
