1. His
Japanese Movie - 2020
i can't stop thinking about this masterpiece. this is hands down one of the most beautiful films i have ever watched. every aspect to it was stunning. i have so much to say but also not a lot to say, just because i love this film so much. if i were there was i scenario where i could only recommend one film to someone, this film would be it.

2. Blue
Japanese Movie - 2003
this film has had such a huge impact on me. the way the girls live their lives makes me feel somewhat at ease. the cinematography is absolutely breath-taking - it's so simplistic yet raw. i could relate to both of the girls a great deal, which is one of the reasons it's so high up on my favourites list. but also the way their love for each other is presented is so beautiful and realistic. and it definitely has one of the most beautiful endings - in a way which i relate to, from past experiences also. i am so grateful to have discovered this film.

3. To Each His Own
Japanese Movie - 2017
sota fukushi is hands down one of my favourite actors, starring in one of my all time favourite films. this film was so meaningful and realistic. i could absolutely relate to the main character on a personal level; living the same, mundane life, every single day (as well as having depression), this film helped me to realise that that's not all there is to life. this film is definitely a comfort film for me, and it will always hold a special place in my heart.
