Dramas – 2025 Completed

I really love the premise of this drama and the excitement I felt during the first few episodes was strong. I really liked the fact that for once the female lead had a greater perspective than the male lead, as it is often the opposite.

However, towards the middle when things started being revealed, I had a mixed feeling of enjoyment and disappointment. Then I felt like the closer we got towards the end, the more derailed it got. That last episode was something else to say the least...

In addition to this, call me inattentive but I had trouble fully understanding the mystery aspect of this drama with how all the characters were related as well as which childhood trauma belonged to whom. I think it shouldn’t be that complicated and of course it all made sense in the last couple of episodes, but the intent of the drama was for the viewer to understand it earlier which I did not.

Despite all of this criticism, When the Phone Rings was still a drama that I looked forward to watching every weekend. It was enjoyable, but I liked the first half better than the second is all.

It was the perfect amount of episodes to tell this story. I call it a story but it almost feels like it could really hapeen in real life.

Nowadays I prefer to watch more happy shows but sometimes I will still watch something heavier like this. But I'm glad that it's not too long. I completed it in a single evening.
