My Favorite Shows
For the most part, these are shows I connected with. A lot of these shows have in common the ability to:
- Tear out your heart
- Stomp on it in front of you
- Shred it into pieces
- Burn it to ashes
Then, in the next episode, it will
- Repair your broken heart
- Tie a nice ribbon around it
- Reinsert it into your body
- Give you a sense that everything will be ok now.
Then, rinse and repeat the process for the entire drama. You've been warned. Always have tissues at the ready.

1. Love Between Fairy and Devil
Chinese Drama - 2022, 36 episodes
This is one of the cutest love stories that I've seen, and that they both will go out of their way to let the other shine is amazing. I love that this show goes to prove that just because you're born a 'Heavenly being' doesn't necessarily equate to being a morally good person, and just because one is born to the 'devil' clan doesn't make them morally bad. There are good and bad in all walks of life, and one must judge everyone by their actions and not their birth.

2. Goblin
Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes
Another older watch, but one I love. The love can be felt by anyone who watches. The Second leads don't try to ruin the relationship and instead have their own love story that is just as heartwarming as the leads. How everyone is intertwined with each other just helps the tapestry of the story bloom.

3. One and Only
Chinese Drama - 2021, 24 episodes
Watch One and Only before Forever and Ever. They are linked together as two different timelines in the same story. One and Only does not have a happy ending, but the love between the leads is fantastic.
-
4. Forever and Ever
Chinese Drama - 2021, 30 episodes
A follow-up to One and Only, the love story continues in the modern day, tying into the One and Only storyline. This time, a happy ending comes, but only after many trials. I wish more of the devotees of the Male lead were accounted for in this timeline but it's still very well done.

5. Love and Redemption
Chinese Drama - 2020, 59 episodes
I love the leads in this. The female is pushed to her limits, as is the male. I love the trust the male lead has in the female and that it takes a lot to shake that trust. Even when it is tested, he can see her side of it and why she's hurt. She takes longer to sort out her feelings regarding him, but based on her lack of emotions for a good part of the show and lack of experience in having them, it is understandable that she takes the time to understand how she feels even if her initial reaction is opposite of her final decision.

6. Till the End of the Moon
Chinese Drama - 2023, 40 episodes
Li Susu makes a lot of mistakes, and the inability for them to communicate up until the end is frustrating. They both love each other and would do anything to try to save the one they love, but if they took a moment to talk to the other person, a lot of heart ache for both could be avoided.
-
7. The Story of Ming Lan
Chinese Drama - 2018, 78 episodes
I absolutely love the couple in this. The plot twists keep coming and in the end I think she ends up with the right person.
-
8. Love and Destiny
Chinese Drama - 2019, 60 episodes
As Juichen slowly defrosts from hundreds of years of being frozen, his heart slowly unfreezes as well. It's cute to see how he takes care of the one he loves and is willing to let her experience growth alone when it's needed. He can't always do it for her, but he is there cheering her on even when he can't intercede.
-
9. Love Like the Galaxy: Part 1
Chinese Drama - 2022, 27 episodes
I love the way that she makes him better. He doesn't communicate well and ultimately hurts her badly. He also learns from his mistakes and improves. By the end the relationship is one that will be healthy for both. They can accept each other for who they are and work together through trust to accomplish even the hardest of trials.
-
10. Love Like the Galaxy: Part 2
Chinese Drama - 2022, 29 episodes
I love the way that she makes him better. He doesn't communicate well and ultimately hurts her badly. He also learns from his mistakes and improves. By the end the relationship is one that will be healthy for both. They can accept each other for who they are and work together through trust to accomplish even the hardest of trials.

11. Who Rules the World
Chinese Drama - 2022, 40 episodes
Bai-Hui Fengxi are a power couple (well, not in the sense of actually being a couple) in the martial arts world. While their family names are different, they share the same given name and thus are referred to in tandem most of the time. You can't mention one without the other due to their 10-year history of sparring for fun. Hui Fugxi is cultured and one of the four gentlemen of the world. Bai Fengxi is compassionate and uses her power for the people. When they team up, they become unstoppable both in the martial arts world and also in the political maelstrom that is the six kingdoms.

12. Doom at Your Service
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
Really cute, and I love the main leads. This show makes you question, can you destroy the world for the one you love, or can you save it at the cost of the person you love the most? Fantasticly written.
-
13. The Blue Whisper: Part 1
Chinese Drama - 2022, 22 episodes
I loved this show. There are segments where communication breaks down and because of it the leads loose much time together, but overall I adore the growth throughout with the main couple.
-
14. The Blue Whisper: Part 2
Chinese Drama - 2022, 20 episodes
I loved this show. There are segments where communication breaks down and because of it the leads loose much time together, but overall I adore the growth throughout with the main couple.

15. Eternal Love
Chinese Drama - 2017, 58 episodes
I first watched this when it came out. I loved it and still do. It no longer is #1 on my list, but it still holds a place in my heart. How do you overcome one fatal mistake with the person you love? That is the situation our male lead finds himself in, and the second male lead suffers from. The second male lead can never recover as his mistake is much worse. The first male lead still has a lot to answer for. In the end, love wins out, but it's a bumpy ride there. There is not a lot of communication on any front.
-
16. Love O2O
Chinese Drama - 2016, 30 episodes
This is the drama that brought me back to Xianxia. It holds a place in my heart despite the female lead's despicable actions in real life. The play between the gaming fantasy world and the real world is fantastic. The acting is not perfect, but the show becomes perfect because of the imperfections.
-
17. Back from the Brink
Chinese Drama - 2023, 40 episodes
The CGI Is so bad, its good. The couple (outside of the incident in Episode 17) communicates exquisitely, and they trust each other implicitly to do what needs to be done. Their love for each other sines through everything they do.
-
18. A Female Student Arrives at the Imperial College
Chinese Drama - 2021, 30 episodes
The main leads are another example of great communication. Nothing is what it seems, and the contrast of how the First Lead and the Second Lead males approach a relationship is amazing.
-
19. You Are My Glory
Chinese Drama - 2021, 32 episodes
It took me a while to get into this one because of the leads and the other shows I'd watched before. Once I gave it a chance it was absolutely fantastic, and the relationship is all about supporting each other's dreams and being respectful of the person.
-
20. General and I
Chinese Drama - 2017, 62 episodes
This one can be hard to watch at times with the communication. Both will take the fall for the other and accept not seeing them for what they think is the best of the other. If they only took a minute to talk they wouldn't suffer endless separation. Still a very good watch.
-
21. The Romance of Tiger and Rose
Chinese Drama - 2020, 24 episodes
It literally had me laughing the entire time.
-
22. Café Minamdang
Korean Drama - 2022, 18 episodes
A who-done-it like no other. Fantastic and fun to watch.
-
23. Fated to Love You
Korean Drama - 2014, 20 episodes
This is the best version of the Fated to Love you/You are My Destiny done. Absolutely fantastic acting and the grandma is my favirote.
-
24. Cute Programmer
Chinese Drama - 2021, 30 episodes
Another cute show. This one pulls at the heartstrings a bit, but in the end it's worth the wait.
