My 2024 Most ENJOYED
These are my favorite, most enjoyed dramas that came out in 2024. NOT the dramas I watched during the year, but dramas that actually aired in 2024.
I organize them by score BUT also by how many times I rewatched it (even if I just go back to specific episodes).

1. Amidst a Snowstorm of Love
Chinese Drama - 2024, 30 episodes
how can i begin to describe the way this drama made me feel?
NEVER have i witnessed such on-screen chemistry between two actors (my opinion)
THE WAY HE LOOKS AT HER BRO!!??? LIKE SHE IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING HE HAS EVER SEEN AND EVEN IF HE WERE TO DIE HE WOULD COME BACK TO LIFE JUST TO SEE HER ONE LAST TIME!!! I want someone to look at me the way that actor made me FEEL, not even believe because I FELT the way he was IN LOVE with her. I was literally just lost in this man's eyes the entire show.
Super cute, well-paced, interesting story though it can get hard to follow depending on how the translation was done and that depends on where you watch the show. At least on Viki, it was pretty easy to fill in the gaps when something looked off in translation. and let's be honest, you watch dramas long enough that you know sometimes when something was translated wrong ???

2. High School Return of a Gangster
Korean Drama - 2024, 8 episodes
This one is pretty short, only 8 eps, so it's a quick and easy drama. AND a MUST watch in my opinion XD. The main plot is so interesting. Like, yes I have seen other shows about a spirit possessing someone (usually more as the villain than the main character like in this show) but, nevertheless, the premise for this drama is so fun and creative. There is some action for the people that look for that in a drama and given that this isn't the character's "first life" and that he has experience with gangs and stuff, he is intelligent, so he can protect himself while making friends along the way. Like, come on? Isn't that pretty wholesome?
I also loved his friends lol the first 3 girls he befriends are so fun and the boy takes a while to come around (for good reason as you'll find out once you watch it) but I seriously just fell in love with the first 3 girls and when they first go out together is kinda funny XD
So yeah. If you have been looking for a short, easily watchable series, this is for you. Its engaging, its fun, endearing, and has its fair share of action. (and maybe if you want an "aww that's actually so sweet that that is how it ends. everyone gets what they want (kinda) and I kinda wanna cry" type of ending, this is for you)

3. Love for Love's Sake
Korean Drama - 2024, 8 episodes
these was super cute and fluffy..... until you get to episode 6... like..SIR! WHAT WAS THAT?!
I really did NOT expect the story to take such a genre turn. i was impressed and a lil scared for what that meant for the story but i was so happy that in the end it all wored out.
character wise, i love the main lead Myung Ha. he didn't start out liking the other dude, Yeo Woon, but eventually when he did, he didn't try to play it off and be like "oh, i must just like him as a fried." but i mean, i wasn't expecting him to pull that anyways since he proved he was an ally when he defended his lil friend Kyung Hoon.

4. Love Me, Love My Voice
Chinese Drama - 2023, 33 episodes
so beautiful, peaceful, and cozy..
this drama was under the recommendations for "a snowstorm of love", another drama that also made it on this list, and i have to say that it did not disappoint in the least. The vibes were very similar bit what makes the 2 dramas amazing, in my opinion, is that they have really good actors playing the male lead, those men are such green flags. they way they look at their respective FLs is mesmerizing. i would not be able to keep acting if anyone looked at me like that T.T i would simply fall in love immediately. (the actors also do a lot of lifting because even though the actresses playing the FLs are good, i think you can tell that they are less experienced or maybe they could be less confident as well. but thats not to say they do a bad job in their roles. it doesn't really help either that both FLs were written to be shy and awkward so that could make it hard to discern when the acting is being done awkwardly or if it's because the moment is fully intended to be filmed like that. either way, i really don't have any complains, just observations here and there lol

5. Marry My Husband
Korean Drama - 2024, 16 episodes
What can i say. Park Min Young is amazing and I will always watch if she's in it. Na In Woo had my heart so of course i'll finish something if he even cameo's in it.
Overall, I came to this series after having already read the webtoon and I completely loved the webtoon so i decided to give the series a shot. Did i get a lil bored from ep. 10-14? Yes. but only a little you guys. it because it changed the plot from the webtoon significantly (which makes sense for a show since you wanna make it a little more interesting over just 16 episodes.) But overall, couldn't be happier with the adaptation.
***HIGHLY recommend the webtoon!! It's just so good man!!???

6. Queen of Tears
Korean Drama - 2024, 16 episodes
The title of this drama warns, that you will become the queen of tears while watching this. I will say though, that I have cried waaaaayyyyyy more at other shows. There's way sadder stuff out there. But this one did tug at my heartstrings. If you're super emotional you'll cry for sure.
A beautiful story about how love can sometimes wane if you don't properly take care of it. Just because someone is next to you today, if you start discarding them and ignoring them, they will eventually have to accept that they are no longer wanted and will try to part and go their own way. So we should earnestly love our loved ones and show them that we love them as well as tell them in words that we love them.
