My Romance Fix
my favourite dramas/movies with a romance plot
-
1. Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo
Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes
One of the most realistic romances I've ever watched. What I really loved was how their relationship changed and progressed from reluctant friends to well, more than friends.
-
2. Shopping King Louie
Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes
How devoted Louie is to Boksil, even before they go out is just heartwarming. He really genuinely cares for her, and she genuinely cares for him also.
-
3. A Love So Beautiful
Chinese Drama - 2017, 23 episodes
I really loved how we got to see Xiaoxi mature from a lovesick puppy to a (semi) independent adult. And although her relationship with Jiangchen is adorable I really enjoyed how the dynamic of the relationship changed. (Warning: possible sls)
-
4. She Was Pretty
Korean Drama - 2015, 16 episodes
The growth in hyejin and seongjun's relationship is really the best bit of their romance storyline. (Warning: definite sls)
-
5. Strong Woman Do Bong Soon
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
Minhyuk's willingness to end up in sticky situations because of his need to protect Bongsoon (who can definitely handle herself) is amazing. And Bongsoon proving to him that she doesn't need protection is even better.
-
6. Suspicious Partner
Korean Drama - 2017, 40 episodes
Honestly the back and forth in their relationship was slightly tiring but once you tune that out it's a solid romance.
-
7. Just Between Lovers
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
THE BEST REPRESENTATION OF ROMANCE IVE EVER SEEN IN A DRAMA! The emotions are so raw, I cryed A Lot while watching jbl.
-
8. Sassy Go Go
Korean Drama - 2015, 12 episodes
Cute story of youth and romance. The enemies to lovers trope was strong here but they made it work.
-
9. Descendants of the Sun
Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes
A very will they won't they type of romance (spoiler alert they will), the leads are too noble for their own good, but nevertheless it's a solid romance storyline ( watch out for the side characters romance plots, I dare say their romance story line is better than the leads')
-
10. Something in the Rain
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
g od how completely enamoured with each other the main leads were was just heart stopping. This drama does a good job of portraying a realistic romance <33 ( be warned the drama peaks during the first 6 episodes, after that it kind of loses itself)
-
11. What's Wrong with Secretary Kim
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
this is by no means a masterpiece, it’s a typical workplace romcom riddled with cliches, but a really cute and likeable romance none the less.
-
12. Fight for My Way
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
really down to earth relatable main leads with great chemistry and an interesting plot
-
13. Devilish Joy
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
a little bit cute, corny and cliche but what romance isn’t???
-
14. My ID Is Gangnam Beauty
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
a slow paced but thought provoking drama. if you’re looking for instantaneous relief to your romance itch, this might not be for you but it’s still a solid drama
-
15. Radio Romance
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
-
16. Romance Is a Bonus Book
Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes
-
17. While You Were Sleeping
Korean Drama - 2017, 32 episodes
-
18. Us and Them
Chinese Movie - 2018
-
19. Angel's Last Mission: Love
Korean Drama - 2019, 32 episodes
-
20. To. Jenny
Korean Special - 2018, 2 episodes
-
21. Are You Human Too?
Korean Drama - 2018, 36 episodes
-
22. Go Back Couple
Korean Drama - 2017, 12 episodes
-
23. One Spring Night
Korean Drama - 2019, 32 episodes
-
24. Goblin
Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes
