  • Love 911

    1. Love 911

    Korean Movie - 2012

    10

*Recommend a Drama and/or a Movie that has "Love" in its title.
Love 911 is my favorite Asian movie. I've watched over 250 movies thus far and it's still stands tall as the first one on the list- since the day I've seen it so many years ago.
I rewatch it at least once every year, and never skip a part of it.
Go Soo is an eye candy for sure and his chemistry with the sassy Han Hyo Joo is my favorite thing in this movie. The story is also pretty awesome.
Totally recommend it to those who still didn't get the chance to watch it.

*Recommend a Drama and/or a Movie that has "You", "Your", or "Yours" in its title.
Love You, You. I got the keyword double kekeke . It's my favorite Chinese movie! I've rewatched it at least 4 times already. I know not many like Angelababy and after seeing her in General and I, I finally understand a bit the complains about her acting, but I totally recommend this movie. It brings you all the feels, and it's not a typical romcom- There's a huge twist there. In addition, Eddie Peng is extremely good looking and always walks with those tanks that expose those built shoulders and chiseled muscles ;)

  • Tae Guk Gi: The Brotherhood of War

    7. Tae Guk Gi: The Brotherhood of War

  • A Frozen Flower

    8. A Frozen Flower

    Korean Movie - 2008

    10

*Recommend a Drama and/or a Movie that has Something that can be HEARD or Something that can be SMELT in its title.
A Frozen Flower. Warning: this movie is from the mature genre.
Can't really explain the movie because it all evolves around the sexual relationship between the leads. It's not that it lacks a story, it's just that the provocative scenes are the ones that give flow to the story. Zo In Sung and Ji Hyo unni are adorable together.

  • Swing Kids

    24. Swing Kids

    Korean Movie - 2018

    10

Unpopular opinion: I don't really enjoy watching Kyung Soo act. I love Exo's D.O, he's an amazing vocalist but when I heard he's turning to acting I was quite wary (you know SM idols aren't really the best in that field). He was okay in That's Okay That's Love as a supporting but as a leading role in other projects I didn't really like his performance.
Therefore, I started watching this movie very skeptical, but it really grew on me. The movie was very enjoyable, beautiful and interesting- it explored a field in the Korean War that I haven't seen a lot on screen (mostly in books). Kyung Soo was okay and if he really had to learn to dance for the movie, he deserves an award.
p.s: the fact he danced to the music of Hava Nagila is just GOLD.

  • Fall in Love with My Bad Boy

    43. Fall in Love with My Bad Boy

    Chinese Movie - 2020

    9.5

Exactly my type of movie lol They were so adorable.
But, it’s important for me to mention that people have commented that the movie is all about forceful kisses. I think that sexual harassment is wrong! No matter if the guy conducting it is handsome or not.
I can say in a more critical form that what both of the guys did to the FL is inappropriate. But let’s not forget that during those times men saw women as an object. I did feel that the ML cared for her but I won’t preach for him nor fight with people who’ll rank it 7 or lower, cause they might be right too.
Watching the movie brought a smile to my face, when I was a bit down, so I hope you’ll also will see it as what it is- a comical relief.

    P.S: it’s my 300 Asian movie :)

I laughed and cried and cried and laughed.
And eventually sobbed for approximately ten minutes after the movie ended.
I really didn’t think that I would feel for the characters as much as I did and I’m not a big fan of Yoojung’s productions but I guess after seeing her in the retreat I don’t have anymore hard feelings. Not only that, I think she could’ve pulled the older version of her character as well and Han Hyo Joo was totally unneeded there.
Have to mention also that ML is absolutely adorable.

  • Kim Ji Young: Born 1982

    53. Kim Ji Young: Born 1982

    Korean Movie - 2019

    9.5

    Acting 10/10
    Importance 10/10
I really feel like men should watch this movie and understand the pressure us, women, experience when we're in a committed relationship aka married with kids.
Yes, unlike Korea, most of us don't have to go on holidays to our in-laws and work our ass off but we all need to juggle between work and home and family duties.
It's true that these days, men also give their part and help a lot with the chores and the kids but it's surreal that we still see it as unusual. They're part of the household, they also share DNA with the kid, so why it isn't a must from them to do all that?
When the society will stop hooraying them and starts to take it as normal, maybe women will have more possibilities in life.

I’ve seen today the trailer that featured Crystal Liu and got curious about the original movie. It really kept me on my toes, and this is something I can’t say about many movies, especially Asian ones. The love story didn’t have enough emphasis which is a pity, but other than that- it was perfect.

ML a really great actor, and Seohyun also got better (seen her last time in Moon Lovers). Also, Lee El has to stop doing only movies that concentrate on s*x.
and as a SoShi, even though I'm much younger than her, It was so weird for me that our little Seohyun curses and does stuff like this on camera lol

I wanted to watch this film for a really long while since I’ve seen the amazing reviews in S.Korea and I was not disappointed. It was really good yet even after watching so many films about this topic and the riots I still can’t understand how (same-aged) soldiers just shot unarmed students, also citizens of the same country. As I talked with my dad about it he opened my eyes that stuff like this are happening a lot currently. There are so many demonstrations about human rights, women rights, environmental stuff, and governments send police officers that sometimes use force against the demonstrators. So I guess nothing really changed..
P.S while watching the movie, Yanghwa Bridge by Zion.T was playing in my head probably cause it’s quite a melancholic song where he sings about his father being a taxi driver, yet after completing the movie last Friday, I can’t get out of my head (nor my On-Repeat on Spotify) the much more fun Mr. Taxi (Taxi Taxi..) by SNSD lol

ML was so good in My Liberation Notes that it was hard at first to differentiate him from that role. Didn't remember FL from Money Heist, since that drama was all over the place. She's a prettier by a bit version of Park So Dam IMO
I don't know what is it with Korean males and those provocative pics, but when I have downloaded the Kakao app to work on my English and Korean when I was in high school, almost a decade ago - I, too, only got d*ck pics. so eventually I deleted the app. seems like Korean males can't really communicate properly through messages lol
Overall, as someone who've been struggling in dating-apps world, I have felt a lot of identification with the movie. It's nice and depicts this world quite well.
p.s in full disclosure: I probably wouldn't swipe right for the ML. even if he's so good looking. Boy needs some better job at his age #sorrynotsorry
