After graduating from Seika Gakuen Girls' Junior High School (精華学園女子中学校) in 1969, she passed the entrance exam for the Takarazuka Music School (宝塚音楽学校). She moved to Takarazuka, Hyogo, where she lived in the school's dormitory. In 1971, she joined the Takarazuka Revue (宝塚歌劇団), adopting the stage name Kobayakawa Yuki (小早川有希). In October 1972, at 19, she left Takarazuka and began her acting career with a role in the special-effects TV drama Mirrorman (ミラーマン). In 1981, she made her debut in the Nikkatsu Roman Porno genre with the lead role in Onna Kyoushi no Mezame (女教師のめざめ).
