  • Native name: 이종화
  • Given name: Lee Jong Hwa
  • Also Known as: Jota, 조타
  • Nationality: South Korean
  • Gender: Male
  • Born: February 15, 1994

Lee Jong Hwa, formerly known professionally as Jota, is a South Korean singer, dancer, actor and former member of MADTOWN (매드타운). He graduated from Dongji High School.

Before debuting, he spent 2 years as a trainee at AB Entertainment and was also a backup dancer for several singers, such as Lee Hyo Ri. He used to live with MONSTA X's Shownu when both worked as backup dancers.

He made his debut in October 2014 as MADTOWN's lead dancer, vocalist, rapper and face of the group (using the stage name Jota) with their first album, also titled "Mad Town". The group enjoyed some initial success. However, J. Tune Camp (제이튠캠프) began facing financial problems and rumors of possible embezzlement and declared bankruptcy in early 2017. Their contracts were transferred to GNI Entertainment (지엔아이엔터테인먼트).

In September 2017, they filed a lawsuit to terminate their contracts, and the Seoul Central District Court ruled in their favor 2 months later, leading to their disbandment.

He returned to his birth name and later signed with King Kong by Starship to begin his acting career, but he left in early 2020. He now works independently.
