Araki Michiko, born in Misaki-cho, Kanda, Tokyo, was a Japanese actress.

Michiko attended Meika Elementary School and graduated from Joshi Gakuin in 1934. She worked in the language department of the YWCA and as a librarian at the Imperial University. In 1938, she joined the Bungakuza Research Institute and graduated as part of its first class. That same year, she made her stage debut in the study group play "Karisonenin wa Nasuna Koi" and her professional debut in "Haruaki."

On April 6, 1941, she married literary critic Kikuchi Shoichi, with whom she had a child. She left Bungakuza in 1943 to give birth. After World War II, she joined the Mugi no Kai in 1947, which later merged with Bungakuza in 1949.

Michiko made her film debut in 1950 with "Woman's Four Seasons."

Her son, Araki Ichiro, is an actor and singer.

Araki Michiko passed away from heart failure on March 24, 1989, at Keio University Hospital in Shinjuku, Tokyo, at the age of 72.
