Kim Young Im was a South Korean actress. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Film from the Seoul Institute of the Arts. In January 1989, she made her debut as a model for commercials and then made her debut as an actress with a minor role in the 1991 film, Camels Do not Cry Alone.

In January 2007, while filming the series "White Tower", she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer, thus dropping out and starting treatment. On December 7, 2007, she died of breast cancer at the age of 31.
