Comedy drama
The plot summary is a very generic overview.
Overbearing mother Pimpattra has three sons—Itchaya, Thevis, and Ashira—by three different fathers. Regardless of her sons' feelings, Pimpattra has plans to set all three up with women she sees as worthy daughters-in-law. Then three unacceptable women come into her sons' lives.
Having not seen it before I can't say how accurate it will turn out to be, However, after watching the first six episodes with what has transpired so far a more accurate description would seem to be:
Overbearing and controlling mother Pimpattra has three sons—Itchaya, Thevis, and Ashira—by three different fathers. Pimpattra plans to set all three sons up with women she sees as worthy daughters-in-law to the dismay of her sons. Three unacceptable women come into her sons' lives.
1. Kaewklaw- a internet restaurant owner whom Itchaya likes. Things are a little complicated between Itchaya and Kaewklaw. Itchaya's father is having an affair. Itchaya is very protective of his stepmother and tries to intervene in his father's affair. Unfortunately through a series of misunderstandings Kaewklaw is blamed to be the mistress. which she isn't. Everyone has their own agendas and poor Kaewklaw is being blackmailed from three different people who threaten to tell her supposed secret to her mother. Then the chaos begins. What will happen with Kaewklaw and Itchaya?
2. Nuengnaret- an outspoken woman who is working with Thevis and she is Pimpattra's enemy. She and Thevis pretend to date to irate Pimpattra . Pimpattra does some underhanded things with the woman she has chosen to set Thevis up. Will her attempts to breakup Nuengnaret and Thevis succeed? Will Thevis ever speak to his mother again?
3. Nareeya -who is hired to pretend to be Ashira's girlfriend.
Will the three sons find love and what will happen to their relationship with their mother?
So far it has been a funny series with some serious moments. I like this series. I like the story. the actors have good chemistry. It will be interesting to see how the story develops. I would recommend it.
**Update at episode 9
Without putting too much of a spoiler in here. I will state that episode 7 felt disappointing and rushed in the way they put Kaewklaw and Itchaya together, I felt like they needed one more episode to resolve it. The way it was resolved was not satisfying or very believable. If I was Kaewklaw I wouldn't be making up with Itchaya so quickly, that is for sure. It felt like the writers had to hurriedly end Kaewklaw and Itchaya's story so they could get to the next son. I felt like Pimpattra's response was not very credible judged on her previous actions , although, some may say that was her changing and growing.
I already don't like Nuengnaret. After watching two episodes with her I hope she changes and grow because she's not very likable. But maybe that is the point. I feel like it has lost some of it's charm. But it will be interesting to wait and see.
**Update at episode 12
I am glad I hung in there and kept watching the episodes as they did improve. I love the chemistry between the actors. The story is getting better again and I can hardly wait to see what happens in episode 13.
*Update after finishing the series.
It was an OK series I was disappointed in the third son's story. I felt like the first son's story was the best except for how the two got together in the end. That could have been a lot better. It was not realistic. I have already stated my opinion on that so I won't restate it. The second son's story was OK but the third son's story could (should) have been better. I was glad there wasn't a fourth son,
However, it did end positively so that's a good thing. I really think the writers could have done better on the script. In several place the script felt flat, I felt like the acting was fine. It's not a series I would re-watch that is for sure.
If you haven't started it You might want to find a different series to watch. If you have started it you are probably curious about how it ends so stay the course it does have a good enough ending. Although there is definite room for improvement.
