There's a hidden gem

Alright I'm going to review things that I appreciate in this series. I believe all series have their own pro & cons. It's just this one have some things that I need to emphasize.

1. The sibling relationship is gold
Both the sibling interaction A Fu-He Na or Luo Ge-Luo Ning is precious. They have their own way to protect each other. But sometimes the option is not right. Especially for A Fu-He Na, their story of brotherhood has a dynamic that it makes me touched, mad or sorry on them. Gonna appreciate them.

2. A touching side story
Aside from the demon brothers story, we got to see other story that really touches my heart like the story of Lu Li and his master, also the story of Luo Ning. Can't be helped but feel sorry & appreciate them. Kindness really touch people's heart.

3. Good chemistry of main lead
Honestly I kinda like the chemistry of Lu Li-Liu Shao they can be cute/funny at times. I also like the fact they trust each other. There's misunderstanding but thankfully it's not dragged. This is just personal opinion.

4. Great cooperation of Demon & Immortal
I like how this series has been teaming up between Demon & Immortal way early. It's unlike until the last minute finally we can see justice for demon. I think this series fight the prejudice of demon. Not all demon is bad thankfully they made it clear earlier.

5. Perfectly matched BGM arrangement to suits the mood.

6. It's not dragging for the first 20 eps? That's what I feel since I like fast paced story. The rest eps is fine for me. It's developing just slowly later on.

Lastly, there's some things that need improvement like side characters' acting on some parts but so far it's fine. I don't want to leave comment that can ruins someone first impressions. Have fun watching!

DESTINED FOR GREATNESS

I think the title for this drama really suits the story. Starting from a nobody, to great figure in Da Xia, all these youths are amazing in their own way, building a prosper and peaceful country.

1. Gu Jiusi and Liu Yuru are destined to be a pair of jade that support each other's back as days passed by even though their relationship started at odd. It really is a God sent marriage that made them completed each other and influenced people around them. Gu Jiusi a dandy man that plays a lot became a man capable of protecting a whole state. Liu Yuru an ordinary girl who restricts herself with rules and only hopes to devote herself into a good marriage became a businesswoman that capable to support a whole state.

2. Ye Shi An destined to be not only a great scholar but a great official that knows how to yield sword in perilous time and defend the country. Not only scholar that holds book and talks about country prosperity but done nothing. He even dared to question the injustice that was done by the unruly emperor even though he knew he will be implicated.

3. Zhou Ye destined to be a benevolent emperor. He started as an adopted son of General Zhou. He knew his place and he never ask more than what he should get. He always prioritized the citizens and valued the brotherhood. Although he knew he wouldn't be able to climb higher anymore, he still decided to defend their state first. With this values, he's able to inherit the throne.

4. Shen Ming destined to be a righteous commissioner. He started as a commoner then a bandit because of his way to fight the corrupt local official. His heart still stays with the common people no matter what he became.

5. Ye Yun destined to be a successful physician from a noble lady. She's been through a nightmare of a lady and fell to a pit but she stood up stronger to be a physician that can save more soldiers and common people that suffered from the war.

In short all of them have their own destined path that they themselves wouldn't know until they went through it. It's not just a story of destined couple, but it's a story of destined great figure.

A drama worth to watch from mature perspective

1. After I've finished the series, I really love how Yingyuan doing his responsibilities. I love how realistic some things can be. Love is not everything, even though Yingyuan seems burdened but he still doing his job well as Sovereign Lord while keeping his love. I love how the director make his character a responsible person and not forget his duties even while he fell in love. He really doing his job well.
2. I personally think we should understand the story as a whole because there are some details that are connected either from past or future like the War of Genesis and Celestial-Demon War. It can be confusing at first but it's worth it after we understand.
3. The value of 'Things can't be the same after what happen'. Well it's pretty realistic even in real world. No matter how we try to go back to past times, it's won't be the same.
4. There are some parts that I'm annoyed/can't get over but it's just a small black spot out of this masterpiece. Realistically, every drama has pro and cons itself. This whole drama becomes better as the episodes continue.
Honestly I hope people can watch this with open mind and try to understand from each character perspective.

Our Lethal Couple

1. ACTING
It's a collection of action+suspense+romance+depression/trauma. Honestly I really LOVE THE ACTING of the lead Fan Zhixin & Li Mozhi. Their CHEMISTRY & EMOTION are on top.

I didn't expect that Yan Xingcheng character will have many layers of emotion. I'm worried when he's angry cuz his anger really hits right. His madness ain't a joke. Then we he cried, he really looks helpless. When he got the attack, I'm sad for him. Seriously I hope Fan Zhixin can get more recognition by this character.

Li Mozhi also become my anticipated actress now. Her crying scene makes me feels sad too. She can varies her acting from the low confidence Shen Manning to the brave Manning. Her emotion hits right for me.

Together they supports each other through thick & thin. Their dialogue "I'm here" during peril situation really comforting.

2. OST
The OST is good here. It really brings out the right vibe for certain scene.

3. DIRECTING
I love how some scene are well directed to portray the right emotion/sequence. As example, the scene where the ML holds his hand out to help FL to get up from her devastated state. Then, the scene reversed when it's FL turn now to hold out her hands to ML while he's on his low state of life. Also, the drawing of drowning child that FL drawn really have a deep meaning to the ML that it makes him finally letting out his emotion after so much suppression. I really love the depth of this scene.

The cinematography also nice. The way they control the lighting really suits the mood either to be romantic/aesthetic.

4. STORY
I love the suspense they have in this series. Almost every episode got me hooked on the screen and eagerly wait what will happen to them. I understand that maybe the plot not someone's cup of tea but at least the suspense can bring us to watch this. Not to mention some plot twists also left me surprised.

I rarely enjoy modern chinese drama but this one really poke my interest to watch :D (P/S: this drama also kind of giving me a kdrama vibe ;D)
