you have to make it past the 1st episode
In the first episode the eng subs is a bit rough and gets the majority of the characters names wrong but thankfully they fix the subs and it is more accurate easy to follow along and refers to everyone with the right name. the story and the way their school system is designed is interesting and something we don't see too often. the show itself is good you just have to get past the first episode and everything will make sense by the time you finish the second episode. thankfully you won't be hearing the name war past the first episode nor be confused as to what is being said or when. Was this review helpful to you?

Show Don't tell
First of all I thought this was a well thought out series with a good soundtrack and a neat transitioning into the ending To save some time of not having to switch from episode I recommend watching the movie. (I'ts the same as the series) I Would suggest that you watch Wish You if you are someone who likes series or movies that prefer to show and not tell what the characters thought process is during all of the events of the show. Instead of having a voice overs of what the characters think or having the characters repeat their thoughts to themselves in a cute but corny way they have small and subtle scenes that explains the progression of their relationship Never having the characters question out loud about how the other person feels or the meaning behind their intentions also never saying out loud what they should do about the situation. There are scenes that allow the audience know that both characters finally understand the direction of their relationship for example when we get the on scene of where in Sung leaves to so to sleep Kang In Soo opens his eyes letting the veiwers know that he is aware of In sung tracing his face. I thought that this was a fun element of the series and let me understand more about what the characters feel throughout the whole series. Was this review helpful to you?

Slow but realistic and overall nice
The show at the beginning is very cute and you have some sense of what the main characters feel for each other and it goes back and forth of them getting jealous for a while because they know they can't do anything about their feelings in their current situation especially when one of them has a secret boyfriend. After the two flee because of family complications and they go to the hotel where we see more of their relationship become official and no, the one with a secret boyfriend is not cheating because they unofficially and officially broke up with each other if that makes sense. Even if they gave the two characters the same type of jealousy role back and forth in the beginning they add wholesome moments between the two andgive information that will later set up the plot you just have to get past the first five episodes for all the gears to move. And just a side note about the soundtrack but please tell me i'm not the only one who hears an instrumental of Noel in the background that absolutely kills the serious mood that the actors are trying to play out and why have I heard it in other bl's for example till the world ends during the same sort of situation.

Strange but it works
The story continues the two's interesting relationship after high school Hira is still his very awkward but cute self who's internal thoughts scare me sometimes, Kiyoi is still his temperamental self, and their still both bad at communication. But even after all of that I still love them both. The story is just how the two of them navigate their love life because of each other's understanding that they both have faults making both characters mostly Kiyoi have patience with Hira. Hira is still Battling his thoughts of being unlovable or not normal. Yes Hira is a bit strange but when you think about it the only thing that makes him strange is how inhuman he thinks he is so he doesn't allow himself to have simple interactions with other people. Kiyoi gets frustrated by this because Hira lets it get in the way of a lot of things but nonetheless he is patient and tries helping Hira with this by reminding him he is human when Hira gets the idea he shouldn't do something because he does not fit in. and Kiyoi is still trying to adjust to Hira's attachment and admiration for him because he does not know how to respond. Their relationship is strange, complicated, and unique compared to other bl troupes which makes their relationship interesting and overall fun to watch because it can either work out perfectly or end in a total disaster. Was this review helpful to you?
High hopes for this one
The story starts with them being children the beginning is extremely cute as we get a good idea of how their bond formed. one of them goes to live with his mother and leaves without giving any warning they find each other again after 10 years and slowly a bit more of their past is being uncovered some of the same memories are replayed but give more insight of what happened in the moment every time it gets replayed making the plot of the story suspenseful every time something new is reveled. the overall feeling i get when watching the series is warm and bubbly with a good amount of suspense sprinkled in there i totally recommend watching it .Was this review helpful to you?
Don't read the synopsis on the details page! it spoils the first episode!
I have been waiting so long for this show to start airing. I didn't read the synopsis of the series so when I say I was surprised when I watched the first episode boy is that an understatement. I thought that it would be the stereotypical troupe where one character is broken and the other character gets magically thrown into said broken characters life and they heal together but that is not what the first episode is about. I like that the first episode is nothing like I had imagined. The first episode is attention grabbing , and let's us quickly feel a connection and develop a fondness for the 1st lead (Archer) I can't wait to see the development of the relationship between the two main characters from their first meeting. I also pray that our 2nd lead (class president) has good character development later in the show. The class president is cheeky, and cunning but he is a jerk and gets on my nerves I know that's kind of the whole point but like the 1st lead I want to throw a good punch in the direction of the 2nd leads smile. Was this review helpful to you?
