The amount of absurdity in this drama is through the roof
I watched it because of Yokohama Ryusei but ended up getting my blood pressure boil.As someone has commented that this drama is satire, alright.
The concept of buying a boyfriend is nothing new in Japan and in reality, it is happening. But in this drama, I feel bad how they treated poorly just because you have "saved" the poor guy from their debt. The kicking and hitting shouldn't be necessary, was it supposed to show as funny? Also, I couldn't bear to watch whenever the FL tells the BF like "you're trash" or "die".
This drama was done in poor taste, I have wasted my time completing this.

Found myself smiling in almost every episodes!
Finally, a FL who has a very likable character!!!! A talented, almost perfect, and not cringe woman yey!!! The actress was perfect for that role, it's very cute and her expressions are not exaggeratingly annoying. Her chemistry with the ML is also okay I guess, just right for her age. Not too old looking for her visuals. There are shots that he's super handsome and sometimes just meh. Also, the skinship in this drama is not overdone.
***SPOILER ALERT AHEAD***
Was surprised to see in Ep.6 where she has a song and dance moment when she felt like she will go on a date! I did not see that coming, such a cute moment lol. I felt like I was watching an anime. And then just when I was giggling then the "drama" happened hahaha, I enjoyed it! In Ep.7 I like that they incorporated the ML's POV before the "agreement". It all makes sense to me now. It is just right to know what was the ML's thinking before it ended in the last episode don't you think?
This is the romance I've been looking for, no toxic drama and sh*t. It is indeed a fast-paced story and not dragging at all. Too bad it has 8 episodes only. Oh well.

Watched it the 3rd time and no plans to rewatch it all over again.
Soooo, when it was aired on Philippine TV some years ago, I will definitely give this a 10. I thought the main leads and the 2nd leads were great from visuals to acting.But... if you have grown and matured 10 years later, and after several kdramas under your belt, from my POV of 3rd time seeing this, I have come to realize that both main leads acting are so cringe and lackluster.
However, my admiration for their costumes will remain the same, especially YEH's outfit when she became the princess was so cute and fashionable.
The love triangle as usual remains cliché and nothing new.
I have also loved the OST. One of my faves actually.

One of my most historical fave!!!!
Okay, I'm also Cha Eun Woo bias teehee.I was not expecting this drama to be sooo good, since I kinda don't like Shin Se-Kyung's acting in general. I have read a lot of negative reviews on her dramas.
Regarding Cha Eun Woo, I was not also expecting that much of him aside from his obvious over the top visuals. I've finished My ID.. and True Beauty first so when I saw this both ML & FL were so surprisingly good.
It's a mix of historical, romance, comedy and drama. It's aesthetically pleasing from the leads' visuals, the costumes and the background. Also, surprisingly in the final episode, I love that they are open to show that the FL is having sex with the ML. So liberating lol.
What struck me the most was when the FL said to the King that historians are not his enemy but they are one of his subjects as well. I cannot forget that line. So so good!

Cringe-fest at it's best!
Okay, I just literally finished this drama.First of all, this is a screw-up arrangement like what it literally says in their title. Both ML & FL are weak. The SML has a kinda dark personality and the SFL - is probably the most likable character because she stayed true to herself and straight to the point till the end. I just don't like how she treats the FL like a nanny.
While I love the FL since I've seen her in Kakegurui, I cannot take her character seriously in this drama. She's so insecure and thinks so little of herself, it's downgrading. In the whole episodes, you will only see her either cooking, cleaning, serving her housemates and as a bedmate.
2nd, even Irie-kun (Itazura Na Kiss ML) will be a green flag if compared to this ML. The most emotionless ML I've ever seen, even Kdrama ML's will not win with this one LOL.
I only like the bed scenes because it is arousing even if they don't show ero moves and a lot of skin.
I only tried to finish this to see if the FL will redeem herself even in the last episode but No. She still decided to be his f*** buddy. What a sad life.
On a pleasant note, what a cute sharehouse! Even the FL's when she makes food- looks oishi!

S2 >>>>>> S1 any day all day! SK-JY 's hand lock supremacy!!!!
I live for JY-SK finger-locking pool scene! That's the reason why I started watching. I have not seen the S1 as I'm not into dating shows. But deym, This dating show is the most wholesome I've ever seen. No skinships, no kissing and definitely no s**. Just pure butterflies in the stomach hahaha.I'm invested into this dating show so much, even post-show I'm following the IG accounts of some cast members. Even post-show their friendship is on a different level and they are still much going upto these days.
I am not seeing another dating shows. SI S2 will be my favorite dating shows ever even though there are flaws in their program here and there, who cares!!!
