A straight romance drama in disguise
loved the cast performance and quality of the series but the whole story makes you ask whats the purpose of this series? somethings were also problematic but presented as something nice. it's a straight romance drama in disguise of a bl, you think a drama talking about the BL community and gay community will at least present the gay community well but let me tell you it is not!! although its relatable on some degree, i don't think its good to recommend on people who wants to understand LGBTQ+.Let me tell you about the problematics
1. A MARRIED GUY WITH A STUDENT - it was consensual and was portrayed actually well, like it's an intimate relationship but how the hell is this right? why is everyone ignoring this and thinking its good!? if I were married, I wouldn't wanna know my husband sleeps with someone else.. also they didn't tell the wife(?) the wife doesn't know about him literally cheating, their relationship is already dead for me, he might want to save his wife from drowning but I hope he dies in that process so I can rest in peace knowing his wife isn't with a bastard.
2. PEDOPHILE- oh my god also this!! fahrenheit is a 15 years old KID, I dont remember how old the person he was seeing but he's obviously not in the age to actually be in one, especially with the freaking big age gap! He might have fallen in love but he's obviously too young for it.. which also explains the immaturity that the kid followed the predator to his death bed and committed unaliving themselves..
3. Message & Presentation to gay people - it was clear that our protagonist is gay but is in-denial and started being a horrible character. On episode 7, they had to seriously make them kiss!? I thought he was gay.. the cheers seriously gave me deja vu of people making those loud noises on proposals so I was like, whats happening? I thought after he was outed, he would be confident and break-up with the girl, cause that girl was obviously hurting but ofcourse he didnt but the girl broke-up with him in the end which if that didn't happen, they would still be together.. every episode just made him less gay more bi when the series is literally about a gay person.. Also the no1 and no2 are gay relationships which are not a good presentation on gay relationships at all..
it seems to me the director tried to create something that gay people can relate to without actually talking to one or even meeting gay people that are in GOOD & HEALTHY relationships not something illegal.

A cute BL drama fantasy that should stay in fantasyland
It was very cute but such relationship wouldn't last/work in reality. Mizuki offering Yoh shelter in the series was a way for Mizuki to indirectly say that he likes Yoh but that's very weird for me.. and Yoh accepting it so easily is like accepting an ice cream from a van that kidnaps children. Continuing on, it seems to me that Yoh moves in eggshells everytime he's around Mizuki, he adjust everything accordingly to what Mizuki likes and it's like a husband(mizuki)/wife(yoh) dynamic in japan where the guys go to work while the girl be a housewife, you know the guys be lazy at home while the girl do everything at home and that dynamic is so icky!! In addition, I think their first time doing "it" was also from Mizuki's liking rather than Yoh, it doesn't look consensual since in later episodes, then Yoh just found out his feelings for Mizuki so they weren't even in a relationship to begin with but rather they we're roommates then(?) but Mizuki gatekeeps Yoh IDK IT'S CONFUSING there were so many miscommunication since they barely talk about their feelings to each other other than talking about food, laundry, cleaning and s*x :/The actors were all good-looking and very good with their performance and the two leads chemistry is so well!! I wish for them to appear on another drama together cause the chemistry is out of this world, they fit well and I wanna see them in another setting where the story actually matters rather than a lot of fanservice-kind of drama series.
wishing for another season that will help resolve my issues from this!!

Eternally reminiscing about their yesterday
It's insane.. that was SO GOOD, seriously. How can such drama series make me feel like kicking my feet giggling, be laughing, getting scared/anxious, pulling my hair out then make me cry a river in all episodes!I'm not a fan or into any romance drama where the MLs doesn't end up together or something tragic happened but this made me feel some other type of way. Usually, I would very much want a different ending or wish I never watched it but with this one, it's 50/50 wanting a different ending and content with the ending, even though it hurts, I think rewatching it can make you see it more clearly and it makes it more better than your first watch.
Also this is just me ranting but why can't they make them be together in a normal state for at least for two episodes before doing the deed, it was kinda out of pocket and so sudden on what happened on ep 1!!
The second episode tells you the whole plot, with him being a living corpse and them 2 being lovey-dovey unknowingly haha but still it manages to keep you interested by adding other things to the plot(the classmates, teachers and the family side-stories).
Then the rest of the episodes are very much into being a metaphor and superficial, realistically koichi already died on ep 1 and the series continues as micchan's coping and mourning over him.
It's crazy how deep the story is, even though it's unrealistic, you can connect it to reality thus making it more heartfelt. the chances of someone dear to you suddenly passing away cause nobody is secured in this life and the people that was left is burdened to deal with it. It is definitely the "what ifs" of a person who thinks of yesterday when the person that died was still alive during those times. Thus, keeping them alive by recalling memories and thinking of the "what ifs" just like micchan does that kept koichi alive.
My favorite scene would be the time they first met, they communicated with their eyes, it was a love at first sight hahaha I kept replaying it and kept giggling to myself. Additionally, their first kissing scene, it was so hot! I love it when the MLs fight then 'make up' in the end with passion hjahahjsfjv
The side characters are lovable as well, you can't hate anyone. They are side-characters but they still bring a dish on the table and not just existing on the bg like other jbls lol everyone had a story and contribution to koichi and micchan and you may hate them at first but at the end, they were very reasonable with their actions thus making you like them. They also I think passively know about koichi and micchan's relationship (they did tell their teacher and classmates but not their family but even so their families considers the other their part of family already iykwim).
It was inevitable and unfair to what happened to Koichi but with his short time, he made a mark on this world that he was alive and somebody will always remember him, also dying knowing that he was loved and cherished;;
and to Micchan, he was guided by him to be able to open-up to other people and be a better version of himself but it is sad that he was left alone and still lingers on their memories together on the last ep when he went to the place they had their vacation on.. TT
One of them died and one of them lived on but for each other.
We can say it was a "right person, wrong time", I think people who lose their loved ones would relate to this series a lot.
I resent the rain so much!! since when it comes you just know you will cry later on but the first time they met or should I say the longing stare they had that I loved so much!! was during the rain so somehow, the rain is the miracle maker. Even the rain I can't hate. I love everything about this!!!

A beautiful short series about teenagers high school love; left me wanting more
The whole thing was very soothing to the eye, this be what reviewers say "realistic" cause it talks about the struggle of a gay teen in a society that is not open-minded then meeting a person who is open-minded cause not everyone is the same even if there's a majority, someone out there will understand. So refreshing to see a bl made in japan that is not about being in-doubt when in a same-gender attraction or relationship and wanting to become "normal", this series finally went out of their way to put this out and get the stereotypes away.Whole cast & film was *chef's kiss* beautiful! it was not hard for the eyes to take, don't have scenarios that makes me wanna keep pausing to take a moment to either get my anger out or stay away from the second-hand embarrassment. lol the only thing that was bad is that it only consists of 5 episodes, I really wish for a continuation cause there's a lot of things that they haven't figured out yet!!
What I like about the series:
1. True Love(?) - they say a lot that love at first sight is real but in here it definitely shows the cliche of it, showing Amane first seeing Ryuji as his type and someone to sleep with. No one can fall in love that fast, it's really quite the lustful thought that puts the interest first when it comes to "love at first sight". Progressively, him spending a lot of time together with Ryuji actually made his like turn to love, it was understandable cause I would also fall in love from the way Ryuji treats Amane, he was seriously just someone who understands and you can trust would be there for you till the end from the way he always reassures Amane to stop putting-on a fake smile that only hurts himself and not judging him cause he's gay. The same goes for the way Amane treats Ryuji, he lifted the pressure and pushes him to become a better person of himself when he made sure to not worry anymore about his dad and helping him with studying. They complimented each other well.
2. Nothing forced - The chemistry was very good but not that much, it's very understandable since they did give me friends vibes but not till the end, I think it was on purpose since Ryuji didn't see Amane the way Amane does at first until the end. Even without that much intimate scenes, their chemistry carried the show. No awkward interactions or second-hand embarrassment.
3. Relatable - Amane's struggles as a gay teenager is soo relatable! it's very hard to trust anyone cause of judgement so we put on something to hide it which amane does by joking about it all the time
What I don't like about the series:
1. Purpose - Some things that are there were there but like for what purpose? Amane's side guy who he sleeps with didn't become anything till the end other than being Amane's fulfillment when it comes to being lonely for being gay. Amane's grandmother is just his caretaker nothing else, shouldve shown what she and ryuji talked about while amane was sick and ryuji's family, which ik the purpose was because amane's family is broken it welcomed him to another home but like hello?? it's ryuji's first time bringing someone over and talking about them a lot but they had like 0 idea about the possibility that he might be liking amane but i guess if it's a girl then they would've. I wished these characters had like a role or play when it comes to their love life if there's a second season.
2. Ending - it really do just ended with their first day being together.. I wanted to see more like the shyness and first time going out and things to do as a a couple and maybe.. their way to become a stronger couple by getting through their judgemental society and to see if their family would accept their relationship.
3. Sexuality - One thing that didn't sit right with me is that Ryuji only accepted the confession cause he thinks it's okay if it's Amane, it's giving "I don't have interest in anyone but you" which is cringy lol. It's another reason why I want another season cause Ryuji hasn't fully looked to Amane as someone he would sleep with- not that it's important but yk it kinda is, it's like he hasn't fully "loved" him yet as much as Amane loves him. Also seems like he hasn't figured out his sexuality since he had no interest maybe on any guy or it's just amane at first then progressively liked him, there's no background about it which makes me question if he's willing to sacrifice everything for him.
I really love this series and really wishing for a continuation cause that was sooo short!!!!!

blood, sweat and tears were put onto this masterpiece
Insanely good!! Since they were kids, they were already meant to be together or it's a soulmate thing. It's a well-crafted progressive story that is filled with so many rollercoaster of emotions, if you watch this, you're in for a ride. It's so intense and I think it just portrayed what it's meant to portray on the screen, they picked the right story, actors, music and everything just hit the right spot.I applaud the director for this, it's so perfect! It's like watching a person's whole life where you know everything and watched them grow up. You can see and feel the emotions, every character has a purpose and isn't left out and because of that you sympathize with every character and understands them fully and that was so genius of the director.
Things that I don't like is how Teh was seeing Tan while flirting and developing feelings and initiating intimate moments with Oh-aew, it's giving cheating vibes even though the two weren't fully in a relationship yet and gosh Teh I know you're in-love but you're crazy for sacrificing your whole future for Oh-aew which he didn't even asked for so of course he would feel guilty about it!!
Memorable moments was when Oh-aew with the bra scene! It was so heart wrenching being not the type of gender and not having those body qualities of the other gender that make the person you love aroused, you really can't choose anything you're born with but it's so freaking awful just not having the things that the person you like prefers.. which becomes a problem and people would say such relationship won't work but the series told me otherwise that if you really value and want to stay with the person, such things will not matter that much.

Addicted Reincarnation
I'm so happy we somehow got to continue and move on from the cursed and depressing cliff-hanger series addicted that china didn't allow to air, I can say for once that the world is not that heartless for bringing this to life. Although the main plot slightly changed from romance to a family-kind of series, there's still some hints here and there that provides that su yu and wu bin are in a romantic relationship rather than a brotherly-kind since they never actually want to call each other brothers lolThis was so good and well done! The story made sense, the cast's acting was phenomenal and it was all just a dream come true that something this good was brought upon us to feast on. Knowing the reason why their past series(addicted) got cancelled by china was due to censorship, I already expected that they wouldn't show any romance or intimate moments of su yu and wu bin but I'm so glad the director is making obvious subtle moments that just shows that they are the same kind of main leads from the past series(addicted)! The cheek kissing on the classroom(like omgg! I'm so happyy) and the freaking lip balm which obviously isn't lip balm lol
I was always restless when it comes to this series cause every episode, not once did I feel relaxed cause there's always a fighting/in danger moment like they need to calm down with those and let us have at least one happy episode without worrying about it being their last happy moment iykwim
The ending was so sad but so cool, wu bin's actor was so cool for that scene before it all went down-hill. Su yu's actor was so good with their expression, I literally cried with him during those last moments of the last episode!! this is just so *chef's kiss*, if there's going to be a season 2, I know it's going to take a long time but directors, please take your time and we'll wait for it no need to rush cause I know it'll be hard with a lot of expectations since this series blew up but I hope it will do well or more than this season. THANK YOU!

So sweet, so short but so content
It's one of those dramas that you can be satisfied with the ending but would think of the "ifs" if it can continue cause there's still a lot of things that the movie can go from after. overall everything is cute and well done! i don't have hearing impairment so i cant judge how well they portrayed the disability but from a person who doesn't have it, it's very understandable. It is sad but it's not something to be pity about yet society still makes people who have hearing impairment or disability be ashamed of themselves and make things more harder so I'm glad sugihara met sagawa! I wish every people with hearing impairment or disability have someone who will be there for them, treat them the same way as others and understands them the way they want to.The only problem I have is the unrealistic way of making a connection between the leads, so one of the leads have hearing impairment and it's getting worse but still, the only one he can hear clearly is the other lead which is so stupid and so selective that destiny just made a miracle come true lol
It could've been more, like a season 2 or just another movie that is a continuation of this, I would love to see them explore their relationship and be able to show how relationships works on partners that have hearing impairment especially homosexual relationship will still be an obstacle, I wonder how they will get through and their adultery journey would've been nice to see but it's okay with it cause you can imagine it yourself.
