Rape must not be romanticized.

now, I watched this lakorn for one thing: the acting. the actors and actresses did so well, be it the main leads and the supporting characters themselves. Ken portrayed Kawee so effectively, I badly wanted to reach my hand inside the screen to wring his pathetic neck for being an A grade asshole.

I'll go directly with the main male lead character, Kawee. the only words I could describe him is this: bitch. He's basically a bitch. He's a whinny, spoiled rotten rich kid with a major daddy issues and deep-rooted insecurities who always blames other people for his misery when in fact, majority of those things happened due to his own doing. Yes, Narin's sister is a bitch in her own right as well for staging that fake scenario that made his father hit him---but what I totally despised the most is that he unleashed his anger and resentment towards the wrong person. He kidnapped Narin, made her suffer and the most abominable thing he did that half of the Thai lakorn douchebag male lead's do: rape the female lead. He repeatedly did that, even tying her up so she could not escape.

those scenes where he threw her into the sea just because she won't bend on his manipulative ass even if he's the one in the wrong, tied her to the poolside and let her get soaked in the rain. not only that, he continuously insults her anytime he likes. and before I forget, the scene that made my blood boil so much is when He slapped Narin just because her older sister slapped him, too. He was so fucking childish that I wish his hand will be paralyzed so that he can't use it to harm the female lead again.

and anyone could argue with me, but him being neglected as a child does not give him the right to hurt other people---specially those who didn't do him anything wrong at all, like what he did to Narin. He's a psycho and him having a redemption does not cover up the fact the beastly things he did. He sexually assaulted her and he didn't showed any remorse. He was cocky, entitled and downright arrogant.

If this is real life, He could've ended in jail for domestic violence, abuse, kidnapping, illegal detention and rape. but since this is fictional and a lakorn at that , he got away with his crimes and even ended up having a baby and married the FL character. but in real life, a victim like Narin will never end up with her perpetrator.

this is why I said in the headline that rape MUST NOT BE ROMANTICIZED. AT ALL. Just imagine the trauma a victim feels and is going through when they were abused and their purity and dignity was forcibly taken from them.

Narin, on the other hand was amazing. She wasn't a doormat unlike the other lakorn female leads. She knows how to fight back and her sharp-witted words puts Kawee in his place. She's not afraid to talk back to him, pissing Kawee even more. He constantly hurts her, but she remained strong.

If I were the director or the writer of this series, I'll send Kawee to jail and the Narin to an expert Psychologist, to help her get better.

It's the acting that made me watch this one until the last episode. Other than that, there's nothing worth to watch it Amall.
