Perfect example of how great actors can’t make up for a weak story
I don’t care how popular a drama is and how much attention it is getting because of popular cast but if the story is shit nothing much popular actors can do to. Well the drama did got popular but won’t be remembered for that long as it offer nothing new and refreshing.Honestly I couldn’t understand whether the story’s main focus was on issues of a married couple, illness of the female lead or the villains revenge schemes . Because there was just too much going on and it made a mess.
I WISH OH HOW I WISH the focus was on the marital issues of the lead couple instead of all the other drama then this show could’ve been soo good. But what a waste!! Don’t even get me started on the amnesia!
I tried really hard to relate to the characters but couldn’t. Characters like cold CEO Female lead and jack of all trade yet caring Male lead are the ones we have seen before multiple times. And then the dumb and incompetent brother who is going crazy after her scammer wife! He was annoying ugh
What intrigued my interest in the drama was how the ML wanted to end the marriage at the beginning of the show but that plot was thrown out pretty quickly without proper explanation. And that plot was the very reason giving some comedic side to the show otherwise it was just crying crying and crying. Honestly it got really annoying at the end.

A masterpiece!!
The beauty of 2521 lies in the innocent yet realistic portrayal of first love with a backdrop of 90s nostalgia. The story captured my heart by portraying love and friendship in such a beautiful way, with a life lesson that not everyone’s first love comes true. The main lead couple didn’t took bullet for each other or sacrificed their dreams to be together. Their act of love lies in the smallest things like comforting and supporting each other and thats what love is about, motivating each other to grow!! This is the most beautiful thing about their story. The simplicity of it. Their problems were relatable and reminds us of our first love. Like who didn’t once had a crush on someone older then them.I am glad that there was no love triangle. The story was complete in itself and didn’t need a love triangle plot.the 2nd lead couple was also cute and relatable. All characters and their problems were relatable.
Although it bothered me the way our main couple broke up. It kinda felt rushed. and I was hoping for them to meet in the future. Anyhow in a way it taught us about letting go. I am sure many people can relate to it too. It’s not the lovey dovey endings for me but the story that matters.
I am soo glad i stumbled upon this gem of a show. It took me back in time. First love is truly something and
soo is letting it go.

I just can’t anymore with same old cliches
I watched lovely runner based on the ongoing hype around it and it wasn’t impressive. As much as i wanted to like this drama but more episodes i watched more i couldn’t take it anymore. What put me off most was super annoying FL ,who is overly obsessed with ML and her actions had no justification. We get it, she wanted to prevent his death but she was acting too entitled like getting into his room without permission, hiding under his bed and showing up at his gym at night !! Like how was she trying to protect him by doing all this didn’t make sense. If she was providing him emotional support or having conversation with him it would’ve made much more sense. She completely forgot she was in a wheelchair or didn’t cared enough. Because she didn’t give much thought as to how she can prevent that from happening. She was more focused on saving ML and he wasn’t her lover at this point!!
And the same old cliches like ML being her saviour and all. I really want to watch a new, fresh story and this drama IS NOT IT. I don’t understand how people gave it a 10 rating.

THE BEST
Mr. Queen is my first experience watching a historical kdrama and ever since i’ve watched it, i feel a constant void that no historical kdrama have filled soo far.. It’s simply the best historical time-travel body swap kdrama that there is.Initially, i thought it was just a historical comedy but the royal place schemes and secrets had me sitting on the edge of my seat. They incorporated main character’s cooking skills into the story in such a brilliant way. The macdonaldo had me choking. The drama is fast paced and every episode ends on a cliffhanger. I was blown away by the plot twists . And 20 episodes never felt this short before. Usually I get bored around episode 10 of a kdrama but this drama is the exception.
Apart from the story, acting is top notch especially by our Queen. Absolutely lover her badass attitude. The king did well too. Our lady choi deserves a chef’s kiss. Top level comedy and top level chaos. A 10 /10 for sure.

A fun romcom turned into cringe story
Not gonna lie the story is indeed very unique and interesting but the plot was soo repetitive and dull. Let me make it easy for you; Dan oh keeps getting rejected by Kyung on stage, Haru keeps trying to be Dan oh’ saviour and change her fate, Kyung and Haru keep engaging in cold and hot war over dah oh.. These scenes repeat atleast 3 times in every episode. It was soo annoying to watch. The writer really was out of ideas as how to proceed the story after first 6 episodes. The comedy was one factor that kept me going but it also turned into cringe romance as the story progressed. The love triangle between the 2nd leads was more interesting. Du-hwa is the best character in the show. He looks good with Joo da and is more deserving to be with her.
Dan oh started off as strong female lead soon becomes a damsel in destress, who relies too much on haru. I liked how she was in the beginning but she lost herself in the middle of the show and became cringe. Haru turned out to be a simp with no existence or story of his own. And kyung had serious anger issues.
I feel like 2nd leads had more conscience and better story. I am not at all curious at this point as to what will happen to the main characters..I do want to know who the writer is thou. But it’s soo cringe I am giving up

The main leads are lowkey red flags yet me likes !!
I’ll start with reviewing the main character Hyun seung, he is blunt and confident which makes him different from usual kdrama MLs yet he gives off lil red flag vibes..Don’t get me wrong he isn’t a F boy but lil too aggressive in some ways. He was kinda scary in the beginning episodes .Maybe bcz he is young that’s why he was bit too aggressive.Song ah, our female lead isn’t soo naive either. In the beginning, i liked how firm she was as she persistently rejects the male lead and gives him a shut up call when he crosses the line. But not much later, she asks ML not to give up on her yet !!!! She wasn’t sure of her own feelings for him but wanted to keep him around for attention ! LOL ! That was really mean thing to do.
As far as the chemistry between the main lead couple is concerned, it was okay .I figured this was going to be a noona drama and FL might overpower the ML but contrary to the expectation, ML was equally dominant and cocky. He stepped up for the FL but didn’t let her take him for granted either soo they weren’t bad as a couple.
Although the story was good but the plot was too monotonous. The writer gave us major cliffhanger in the first episode hence there wasn’t much left for later. The story got predictable and boring towards the middle of the show. Hence I lost interest. Special shoutout to the designer sister and the boss.. they are adorable together.?
