This is my honest take. The series exemplifies stereotypes that SHOULD BE STOPPED. Thai BL series are on demand since the proliferation of Boys Love manga in East Asia and adapted by Thai mediascapes as alternative to heterosexual romance. In one of the scenes in My Engineer, Bohn was goofing around with his squad; then, suddenly they talked about who is the husband and who is the wife. I detest words that associate gay couple with gender roles that forbade them to be normal with no labels attached. Good riddance, I cannot take such ignorance on the part of the BL author. With due respect to BL writers, before you come up with ideas in your mind, make sure you have done a research about homosexual romance. We cannot tolerate ignorance. I am certain BL is a coming-of-age genre, but it is not an excuse that you depict gay love stories in accordance with what you imagine alone. BALANCE FANTASY WITH REALITY AND INCORPORATE GENDER SENSITIVITY.
Anyhow, the story, performance, and cinematography needs improvement. New actors must attend workshops frequently. The actor who plays Duen cannot portray his role well nor internalize the lines with much more impact. Overall the series offered no more giddy than social relevance.
