This movie really make you hear the voice of the silenced ones
I think it's one of my favourites this year if not THE fav. I think that the title "Without a Sound" refers not that much to a mute protagonist, but to the fact that in Korean (but not only) society many voices are unheard, many bad, criminal things happen without media and people being loud about those problems, because it's hard to handle, because of corruption, because it's an uncomfortable topic or because more powerful people make them keep quite...Chang Bok said to Tae In "what will he do without him?", because people with impairments and disabilities, people from very poor families, orphans like himself really need more help, but instead are being mistreated and cast out like trash and in some cases really have no choice (if they don't want to starve). Not to mention mafia, human traffic for organs, prostitution, paedophilia... The movie may seem almost comic (I did laugh hard in many scenes), but it does make you think about some really heavy topics with many strong metaphors and question yourself what did YOU do about it, since you surely had more possibilities to make a change than the protagonist, a person without a voice (physically and metaphorically, although he did make many people "hear" him at the end of the movie). It also obviously blurs the line between good and evil, since the protagonists do some criminal things, but also some good things, so it's not them being evil in their nature, but some of their actions. It makes us question ourselves what’s right and wrong, what’s good and bad what do we think about a certain situation and if those beliefs depend on motives and circumstanced or if our moral is absolute.

Just kill the nature on your planet and if it rebels, just kill it HARDER! Technology is power!
The message was supposed to be something like "If we keep on destroying the planet, it will try to get reed of us, so let's change our ways.". But because of the plot it resulted in something more like "The human power to conquer the nature trough technology and our intelligence is unlimited". which is pretty much the opposite.Real tags should be: Yuan Yuan is annoying, evolution can take just few seconds apparently, exposition, "Chinese people and their army are magnific, amazing OMG the best", "fat people always eat, walk slow , are clumsy ect" cliché.

If you don't like the first episodes, just DROP IT
The headline is the advice I give you which is that I wish I had received before watching 14 episodes out of 16 of this overhyped and over praised smoking pile of annoying illogical characters, clichés and plot convenient coincidences. I've watched more than 850 Asian dramas and this is one of the few times I'm writing a review just to say...if you feel like you might not like it from the go, just skip and watch something better instead. It's really boring and contributing nothing to your life. Was this review helpful to you?

An actually decent watch
I've binge watched the show from season 1 to season 2 in one go and for me it was clear from the beginning who she would end up with. She felt physically attracted by one (kinda problematic) guy, but on the long run started a family with someone more similar and stable. It's actually realistic. When she disappeared from the potentials I knew it was because she is 100% in love from that point, because she let go of her past and was sure now.I wish they showed the creator more. Maybe they could make a spin-off with the new app for lie detection.
Overall it wasn't as terrible as I've expected because of the ratings. It's nice to see a k-drama where the protagonist changes her love interests over the course of time, instead of the "virgin that marries the first love" cliché. I also like shows that think over the impact of the technology on our lives and it's evolution in history.
